Has anyone here tried the crepes from the French kiosk? Are there any pics floating around out there? I LOVE crepes and I'm just wondering if these are any good. TIA!

Oooh I wish I have a picture! I get the chocolate one every time we go and they are TDF!:goodvibes

We love them:cool1: and if you happen to be on the dining plan, they are a way better snack item than a bag of chips imho:thumbsup2

When my husband and I were in France we fell in love with the chocolate crepes. I could not wait to get one at Epcot hoping they would be as good as the ones we got in Europe. I was really disappointed. It was not nearly as good, but still yummy if you didn't know otherwise.

I'm not a fan. The crepes aren't made fresh - they take premade ones and warm them. The chocolate is basically Hershey's syrup. Not inedible, but certainly not something I'd rave over.

I think this is it exactly.

I always get the strawberry (just basically strawberry preserves spread on) and really like them. However, I'm sure if I had REAL, FRESH crepes I'd be dissappointed as well, however this is really the only place that I know/have access to get them, so I enjoy the ones I can get ;).

Thanks for all the replies. I was hoping for fresh crepes, but I may give them a try anyway.

Hmm...I haven't had one since last year at this time but I watched them pour the batter on the pan and make the crepe--it was not pre-made and reheated. I hope it hasn't changed.

I like the strawberry and chocolate combination, personally. :thumbsup2

I hope you're right and they are fresh. That would be wonderful! Do you happen to know if it is a chocolate syrup? I often get crepes in NYC from the street vendors and they use Nutella and they are so delicious!

I'm in agreement with the posts here. They're okay. I got one when my Mom & I went up right after Christmas. We were pretty much just strolling and my sweet tooth kicked in. I knew we were coming up on the Crepes, so I got one. I've been to France, we have a place here that makes french Crepes (they do fancy ones for breakfast and then dessert ones too.) Scratch that. I went to visit my friend in South Bend, IN, it's there. They were a lot better there & in France.

It satisfied my sweet tooth, but I have to say, if I get a craving for sweets again, I'll be headed to the patisserie.

To answer your question, they don't offer Nutella. It is just chocolate syrup. I think if they did offer Nutella, it'd be so much better. I mean, how hard would it be to offer Nutella and bananas or strawberries? That's really what I wanted and they didn't have it :sad1:

ETA: They were not made fresh. This was on 12/26/08 we were there.

We also did not find them to be made fresh. They just peel them out between wax paper and heat them up...I could say more but there is no point. I would suggest walking over to Boulangerie Patisserie instead.

I just had one last month. It was okay. They did not pour fresh batter, just reheated the crepe. I wish it would have been fresh!

Sounds like I'll be heading to the bakery in France instead . . .

We tried one last year..... barf! They were horrible. Nothing at all like the ones from the street vendors in France. I guess we were spoiled by the real thing. Very disappointing, sorry.

that's kind of depressing I was looking forward to trying them. Guess I will hit up the crepe place in the mall and try some other treats at Epcot. Good to know.

I thought they were ok at best. As others have mentioned they were not freshly made and the chocolate was nothing more than chocolate syrup.

Love them! I think they are absolutely delicious and I have had the real ones from actual France too. I have only tried the sugar crepes, but I have loved every one I've had. Try it at least once!

I haven't had a crepe at Epcot but I can only eat ones that are made fresh. I've had ones that aren't fresh and when they are reheated they get pretty rubbery. The crepes made at restaurants and carts in Paris are wonderful. I also make them at home and they are delish. But I eat them immediately after they are made. Knowing that they are pre-made in Epcot has kept me away.

I was there in September of 2007 with my neice and she got a chocolate one. We were very disappointed to see that they were just a reheated crepe with hersheys syrup on top. It tasted okay but we expected much more from Disney!
