Today I was in my room that had the quest kiosk in it. Someone just pops in there and asks me to do the quest. I said I only use it to trade, and then they said won't you get in trouble for that? Thing is I don't know. Is it against the rules to trade credits? Will you get banned for it. Because if it was against the rules i'm sure a lot of people would be banned. :confused3

I think VMK doesnt like when ppl do trading for credits ... Maybe they will take off credits prize :teeth:

You are not allowed to charge someone to do a quest. Therefore, if you create a quest in exchange for another item, you are technically in violation of the terms of use for quest machine.

Also, you cannot stop a player from doing your quest if they are in the room when your machine is on. All players must be allowed to play your quests.

Now, that said - there is nothing that says you cannot have a quest that someone plays when the two of you are the only people in your room. And there is nothing that says someone can't give you items via trade window as a gift.

Just remember - do not charge, do not tell someone they cannot play. These are the key rules to follow with quest machines while staying within VMK Values.

I dont know if you will get banned for it but i was in HOST_Phinny's room before i did the quest last night and ppl were asking how to trade credits and i think someone said quest kiosk. Then HOST_Phinny said that the quest kiosks were not meant for that purpose. So like i said i do not know if you will get banned for it but they werent meant to be used that way.

BTW I just got the discounted quest kiosk mainly for the purpose of trading credits but will probably do quests with it too.

It does open the door for problems as I have stated in the past, but it is quickly becoming the popular trade option. I don't use any of my quest machines for this or anything but a big object in the room.

If the machine was not active your best answer is simply I do not have any active quests at this time thank you, and leave the explanation out. Judging from the trade threads I would say a greater number are being use in this unintended way then not and it is clearly stated that they discourage this practice. With the recent crack down on codes and trading of items obtained by codes I would not be surprised to see them implement an ugly enforcement of their desire for us to not do credit trades.

I mainly use my quest kiosk for making quests. But I did give my sister some credits once for helping me finish the mickey quest.

Technically if you don't talk about the trade and just be like hey want to do my quest? and the other person would say ok and do it and then they could say oh wow accept this gift then your not in any violation
