Credit card for reservations?

Since when is the online system requiring a credit card for reservations? We went in 2011 and that was a nice feature not having to find my wallet. Perhaps there was too many cancellations.

They also charge a fee if you forget to cancel!!!

Thoughts?

Since October 16, 2011. And it's not all restaurants, there are 19 that require a credit card hold and 4 that require prepayment in full at booking.

There is a list in a sticky thread on the Reservations board, where I am moving this.
 
I believe the new policy started last October where you need to give a credit card for some ADR's :rolleyes1 It seems to be mostly for the character meals :banana:

It's Signatures and any restaurant that has character meals (even if they particular meal doesn't have characters like 'Ohanna or Cape May dinners).
