Credit card for online check-in

DH and I are heading to WDW for a few nights this week...kid free! We've never done online check-in but decided to do it this time. Do we still go to the front desk when we arrive at SSR? Flight lands at 12pm so there's a good chance our room won't be ready when we arrive at the resort. Also wondering if I add our credit card info online, will our charges for dining and shopping automatically go to that cc or just to the room and we can pay how we'd like before check-out (i.e., Disney Rewards cards and gift cards first before using the cc)?

You will be eligible for direct to room if you already have MagicBands and complete the following during on-line check-in:

• Provide Estimated Arrival/Departure Times
• Provide CC & PIN for room charges
• Provide them with either a cell number or email address for room ready notifications

If you want to use Disney Gift Cards and/or Disney Visa Redemption Cards towards your room charge balance, you will need to stop at the front desk at least one day prior to check-out. Also, they will process your charges to the CC on file once you reach a set dollar amount which is $2,000 for DVC Villas.

At WDW now, both of our online check ins still required that we give the front desk our CC number even though we gave it online.

This was our experience too. I tried to charge to our room with my magic band and it was rejected. I had to go to the front desk to give the same credit card info I gave online.
