Anyone who saw my rather panicked thread last night (http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=3044001) will understand I am now extremely cautious about trying again to book via the French website but the price difference (of about £400- 1080 euros instead of £1290) is pulling me back to trying again!
Can anyone give me any hints please? Did I do something wrong last time or do you think it was just the wrong sort of credit card?
Does anyone know which cards do work? Having googled it, this problem does seem fairly common.
Maybe I just need more pixie dust :wizard:

The funniest thing was when I rang Disney - I am ready to be Mrs Stroppy but the Disney hold music whilst waiting, just seems to make that impossible.:rotfl:

If you like to be on the save side: I sometimes use the service from Neteller. You get a free prepaid mastercard and virtual mastercard numbers.

You top up your card with the desired amount from another card, paypal or bank account. Then generate your unique virtual mastercard number. This number can be used just ONCE and you see the booking immediately confirmed online.

So far, I can't complain about them. Just an idea. (neteller.com)

The pbs don't come from the type of card but from the fact that lots of UK banks seem to see any foreign transactions as fraud and block them.

This happened to Linda this week - you can have a look here

I'd phone your bank first and tell them what you are going to do so that they authorize the transaction straightaway rather than blocking it :)

Doh! I cant believe I missed that post! When my card clears up again I will try that - thanks Carrie Cat.
And thanks basti007 - I have never heard of neteller.com but will definitely read up about it. Not sure my nerves can take last nights stress again.;)
