Another thread on the restaurants board got me wondering, and I thought I would ask here since this board seems to get the most action.

We made our ps for CRT and were charged a $70 deposit. I know this is standard procedure, but I'm curious how it all works out. We are travelling with another family - 11 in all. My portion of the bill will be for 2 adults and 4 children, which I know will be a little more than the $70 deposit I made. Will they just charge me the balance for my group, and then have my friends pay for their full meal? Or do they charge us all the full amount, and then later credit my card back?

Anyone had experience with this?

They bring you the bill with the GRAND TOTAL so that you can give the appropriate tip, then they leave and deduct the $70. and come back with your recepit with the adjusted amount plus tip and taxes.

You can pay it and divide it out however you want to.

I don't know if they'll do separate checks if that's what you are wondering; maybe they would and then they can deduct the $70 from your bill I guess.

that's too bad they started doing that!! I dont think we ever spend that much there!! we get one adult meal and one kids
meal and split the adult meal!

we would have to be credited for our lesser bill.
with tax and a great tip it would still be about $30

Last night I got PS at the CG in the CR for 2 people in mid-March with seating during the fireworks at the MK. They did not charge a deposit at all!

I asked the CM on the phone about it; she said they don't do it for food any more. I got a confirmation number so I think I am ok.

Either I am in trouble or you got a different answer.

Hope this helps.

Hellokitty--they don't charge $70 for everyone. It is only for the breakfast with the Princesses, and it is a deposit of $10/adult and $5/child. The OP made reservations for a party larger than just her family.

It's only for the Cinderella breakfast. They started it because people from a website group were calling and hogging up reservations for their group members. This way you have to give a credit card deposit and they are supposed to check ID when you arrive to make sure you are the same person who made the reservation. That's what they said last week when I got a PS for 5/5, they said it was non-transferrable and ID would be required. I have 2 adults & 1 child, they charged the $25 to my card already.

great thanks for clarifying that! I know how hard it is to get
breakfast there!

Is it any better than the one at chef mickey's??

Interesting. I heard it was because people were auctioning the ressies off on ebay.

Either way, I see why they do it.
