It's about 35 degrees outside this morning, and we keep seeing snow flurries. Last week it was nearly 90 degrees, and I thought we were going to burn up and die because the house was so hot (I refused to turn on the A/C). Today we'll be hauling out those turtlenecks and sweatshirts again.
The newspaper mentioned that a year ago today the high temp was 86 degrees! Today's high will be about 40.:cold:

It really is Texas weather isn't it? I'm glad it's the weekend so I can lie in sweats. My maternity jeans that fit 3 weeks ago are to small now so all I have to wear out is capris and sweatshirts. Fun stuf!

Yeah it was so humid here that all the wood in the house was swelling and doors and drawers were getting stuck. Now I'm freezing. I hope my tomatos make it through the weekend! I should just never plant anything. Every time I do, no matter how late in the "spring" it is, we get a freeze a week or two later. Anyone want me to plant something in August? :)

I think people all over must be having weather like this this week. A DIS friend in Ohio said the exact thing happened to him this week (days in the 80s, then snow just days later), but they got many inches of snow :lmao:. I remember seeing snow in Oklahoma once or twice on Easter weekend when I was a kid, but I have NEVER seen snow in Texas that I recall anywhere near April. I don't even remember seeing it in March :confused3.

Its not just Texas. Last week it was 75 in Pittsburgh, yep Pittsburgh. Today I wake up and the ground is covered in snow.

I can't wait until summer.

For starters I do not find that Texas has "crazy weather"... In fact your weather is pretty good. Texans are so spoiled when it comes to weather. All we hear is "it is too hot" and "it is too cold". :coffee: :rotfl2:

Crazy weather is when it is 90 and then in 15 minutes it is 40.:lmao: That goes hand in hand with the Armageddon skies complete with tornadoes.

Have not seen that here in Texas yet.:rolleyes1

it is 28 degrees here in Abilene with a light dusting of snow; but all is well--we will be at wdw again in 94 days

I'm in southern VA, and when I looked outside a minute ago it was snowing. It was in the 80s last week. It never snows here, even during the winter having it snow is a big deal, everything shuts down for like an inch of snow so today should be intresting.

It's nuts. I've been seeing snow flurries off and on for the past couple of hours.

My neighbor was out edging his lawn in the snow. :rotfl:

isn't this crazy weather? Just a few days ago, I was wearing shorts and thinking we might get to swim on easter. Not hardly! Now I'm trying to figure out what sweater to wear to church! :lmao:

I walked out Thursday night to go to a meeting. There were small flakes of snow coming down. 3 houses down from me my neighbor was out mowing his yard.
I still remember one Spring where the temps dropped so rapidly that there was more than 30 degrees temp differences from one end of Topeka to the other.(I am south of there)

Four days ago, it was 80 degrees in NE Ohio. Two days ago we got nearly a foot of snow. Last night we got another foot of snow. And to top it off, our snowblower is broken beyond repair. I discovered that fact as I went out to remove 12 inches of wet and very heavy snow from our driveway.

I will say that I am glad that Texas is only getting flurries. I have seen reports in the past from your state about really nasty ice storms. I think that a little dusting of Easter snow is much better than ice.

I'm off to make a snowman in our front yard. Perhaps I'll give him "ears" and call him a snow bunny.

I came to Dallas to visit my grandmother one Easter when I was very little, maybe 6yrs old or so. I can remember playing in the SNOW in her back yard! A lot of snow! That would have been somewhere around 1974ish.

My dd14's Easter dress for church tomorrow is a sundress! DD11's has those small cap sleeve. None of us were planning to wear hose/tights, so we're all going to look really runny with heavy coats and bare legs!:rotfl:

I know! I wan't the 80 degrees back, even the t-storms are better than snow in April.:scared: I'd already put my coat and winter clothing away.:sad2:

I hope that this is a sign that we end up having a nice cool summer. I'm not looking forward to high electric bills!

Taken just a few minutes ago in Waco...

It's funny how we can never get a white Christmas, but we can get a white Easter!

Oops! I just noticed that my date stamp on my camera is wrong. There goes my credibility.

This weather IS crazy. Just the other day I was complaining about the heat. I much prefer this chilly weather, that's for sure! I could do without the rain we're getting here in SA but I guess beggars can't be choosers :teeth:
