OP here
Just to clarify a few things..My kids were not running rogue in the street.
Actually my husband was holding my 22 month old while my son was driving his power wheel jeep alongside the curb. No one was in the middle of the street. Our neighbor across the street from us has a very large paver driveway, and we have permission from him for my son to ride in it if he so wishes. You see you have to know the landscape of where I live to understand. Most people here at the beach have no concrete or poured driveways. they are stones, so biking, skating etc etc on the driveway, well it isn't happening....
So my son was riding at the curb having just come out of my neighbors paver driveway with my husband holding my 22 month old in his arms. I do not let her play in the street. They were at the curbside when the driver came by, and I'll also let you guys know it was the 2nd time he had driven by our house. You see, he went to see a neighbor down the street, so he rounded the corner at a high speed the 1st time, whereas my husband did not say a thing, and then when the neighbor was not home and he had to come back, he was speeding again. So yes my husband said slow down b/c it was the 2nd time he was doing it with kids around....
