Crazy People in que lines.

i remember when spiderman opened.
i don't recall guests having to go to the back for the line.

the single line entry is to the side, away from the front entrance but still facing the main street opening area.

i haven't experienced what you have at universal but have many, many times at disney lines.

i stay on site for UO and use the fotl.
the line goes so fast, we all get on the ride sooner or later when using that express line.

if you encounter an issue with rude guests, let the TM be aware of it.
they can radio for security and eject those people that started the problem.

there is more security at UO than you can imagine........

don't let a line jumper ruin your day.
the TM can handle it for you easily.

i'm like tlinus, haven't personally experienced what you went through.
what demographics are you referring to?

why bring up something that happened to you 4 or 5 years ago?
i reread your post. you stated this is something that happened to you 4 or 5 YEARS ago...............i don't doubt you but things have changed. try the parks again and see for yourself.

I don't see it as park demographics so much as the line set-ups. Some, like Mummy or Hulk, practically beg to be jumped because often there is no second Express Pass checker.

We went to ride the Hulk using our FOTL, there were about 5-6 teenagers that when rushing past us. We just stopped and kinda laughed with the attendant about it. About 15 seconds later, they were being escorted back down the line.

Sometimes when teens get to the park, they don't realize there are 2 lines--they just run to get on the ride. No ill intent involved--just a race for fun.:moped:

Believe it or not, teenagers don't think:rotfl2:

I got into it once with Big Ol' Trailer Park Mama once in the Express Line at Mummy. She blatantly cut into the Express cue and I let her have it. I'm not a lightweight but neither am I huge and I'm only 5'2". She could have easily crushed me, but my Chicago attitude backed her down, cursing the whole way back into the other line. What a loser.

Makes me think of a T-shirt I recently bought in Key West: Mess with me, you mess with the whole trailer park!

We were standing in a short line to buy margaritas at Margaritaville when a man suddenly was standing next to the person receiving his drink. He loudly insisted that he had been there first waiting behind the person who just paid. He said it so angrily and with such conviction that he got away with it. I'm going to be on the lookout for that sort of thing in the future - maybe it's a line-cutting technique I've never heard of. Too bad Barb wasn't there! :)

Unfortunately my experiences were less than a week ago. Not only with line cutting express line jumping, and questionable behavior in lines. Some of the people working the attractions made attempts to stop it but more did not and just turned a blind eye when pointed out. I even suggested to on that he move back to where he could see around a corner to prevent the express line jumping. I would have been really upset had I paid the extra money for express pass only to see all the others jumping in my line for free.

And there was no real demographic other than rudeness I saw all ethnic groups, ages, and races doing it.

::cop: I'll bump that one.More security::cop: (Thats what we need)!!

Over the past few years we've spent much more time at US/IOA than at Disney but I've noticed this type of line jumping MUCH more frequently at Disney. I'm usually so surprised by it, thinking that people are trying to catch up with others from their party, that I seldom react to that type of behavior. Now, thinking about it, I'd rather just left them go and not worry about - certainly not get mad about it and possibly spoil my park experience. After all, if a family gets past us how much longer will we have to wait? A minute? I just don't see much point in confronting the type of person who would do that - they're not going to see logic and they're just not going to play nice. All in all I just don't see it as a big deal. And I don't see the problem escalating to the point where EVERYBODY would do it without the ride attendants taking some corrective measures.

I think like 4 or 5 years ago me and my family were waiting in line for Spiderman, i think the que setup was diffrent because back then it was going out back around the building. Anyway, were standing in line and theres this soda machine, riiiight next to us... so we grab a soda when this family runs bye us!:duck: I mean seriously she didnt have to pass us considering there were people infront of us and there was no where for them to go. Its not like we got out of line...:confused3 So of course i would have just let it go, but we were with my Aunt:rolleyes1 She marched up to them and got us right back infront. The lady was mad and fussing and her son was like, "Mom just let it go" and her husband looked totally embarrased! By the time we got to boarding she told the people she didnt want to ride with us, so while we were boarding they were standing off to the side mad.:lmao:

Sorry the post was sorta long but people are so in patient these days.:headache:

One of my sons(7) earliest and best memories of IOA was in the line at Spiderman....it was his first trip(he was 3) and he just loved getting the pressed pennies.we were standing waitin in line for Spiderman and he spotted the machine and was soooooo excited to get a Spiddy coin but i had no quarters.he was really disapointed.about twenty mins later a young very cool looking guy tapped my wee fella on the shoulder, winked and handed him a pressed Spiderman penny.he had been on the other side of the rail and had got my wee fella a coin when he passed the machine and waited till we met again going round.not a big deal you might think but my son had been to Florida 3 times since and that is one of his highlights !!

its nice to be nice........

Maybe he was the dad of the kid I encountered at an Indiana water park once. I was floating in the wave pool, holding onto my rented inner tube. Suddenly a kid swims up, grabs the other side of the tube, and starts yelling, "Give me my tube back, lady!" Uh, sorry, doesn't work with me. I just glared at him till he gave up, but I wonder if it ever worked for him.

Awww! I love stories like that.

A few years ago on MIB a group of 6 people went flyin' by us while we were in FOTL and they were in the regular line chanting "we're #1" over and over again. Well fortunatly for them they went up against my family of 6 on the ride. And the #1 team supposily got dominated by my family.

Score: My Family- 700,000 something
#1 team- 50,000 something:rotfl2:

I'm a former police officer so MIB is one of my favorite rides. Little target practice never hurt.:cool1:

in line for ET at univ. and they make you que up before the actual que like a big huge parking lot outside, couple in front of us w/2.. 5 or 6yr olds
she whips out a JAR for him to pee in...
1.there was not a crowd, we were the only ones there she could have taken the kid to the potty and been right back
2 the potty was sooo close
3 of course he MISSED the bottle
4 she didn't wash up after word(i tried not to touch anything she did)
5 she put the jar on the floor behind her:scared1:
6 what is she teaching her kids...

Note to self....steer clear of any jars on the walkways anywhere!

always FOTL@ U (except this year's trip:rolleyes1 ) cannot comment on the non-express lines...i always try to avoid eye contact as we zip past

@ WDW i've watched teens trying to cut line lots of times:confused3 give them a hearty shout out "they can cut line...long as it's behind me"popcorn:: Usually fires up the rest of the line & they slink off in defeat.

my complaint is the solo peep in line for a good half hour or so somewhere in front of us...all of a sudden, extended family group appears out of nowhere...explanation along the lines of either "it's too hot/long wait for my kids/wife/mother" to stand in line:mad: , I understand the need for a quick bathroom run, just question as to why the entire group other than the placeholder was involved.:headache:
