Crazy People in old Amity

The last two times I have been there were these people, two or three, that were dressed in big hats, sunscreen, floaties, and flowery shirts. They were along the fence where amity was. They just stand there and talk about where to go and make comments to people passing by. They are obviously meant to be there as they have been there on two different occasions a month apart. is this some form of security? Please help. Its driving me crazy.

I think they are guarding against people taking photos of the new construction. Don't want people reaching up over the walls.

They're the tacky tourists. They're there to entertain people in an area that literally has nothing going on.

They have some pretty ridiculous outfits and they're very funny to watch.

They're just a form of entertainment to add something of interest between San Francisco and World Showcase.. otherwise you have a long boring walk between large gray walls!

Rumored London Harry Potter area that's supposed to include a Gringot's bank indoor coaster and a Hogwarts express train ride to the Potter section at Islands of Adventure.

Yeah, I saw them on my last trip and I think it's a combination of the two theories. One, it's one of the only areas of the park where there is literally nothing to see/do for a semi-long stretch, so it adds some streetmosphere to liven things up. Two, I think they are definitely told in no uncertain terms to make sure people aren't getting pictures over that wall for Harry Potter phase 2.

They are very funny, if a little strange.

Everytime we passed through the lady always asked DS when he was taking her on a date......that was funny!!! If you try and avoid making eye contact..........they will pursue you. Good fun though

We saw them in June.

Saw them in late August too. We even got sprayed with water by the one lady. We liked the posters they had on the walls. It was a bleak walk though.

thanx for the video though, was curious lol. The TMs (imo the best gig in the park!) where else can they poke fun with the touristas and get paid...SO much better executed than the annoying Dee Vee Cee charactar that they're phasing out.

I agree that they are there for entertainment in what is otherwise quite a bleak little passage! DH and I saw them on a number of occassions last week and took our picture with them. They kept telling other people passing by that we were on our honeymoon, which we weren't

I saw them on Sunday and they seemed to be having a blast entertaining and talking to the visitors.
