the goal is to leave HS as early in the day as possible so i can go back to POP to swim/relax before heading to DTD for some shopping and dinner.

Monday April 13th HS

8:30am-arrive

9am-RD

9am-RNRC

9:30am-TOT

9:35am-10:35am-FP+ TSMM

10:50am-VOTLM (i have a FP+ for 10:55am-11:10am for the 11:15am show but i'm hoping to be done with TSMM in time to sneak into the 10:50am show and forget about the FP+)

11:10am-GMR

12pm-muppet vision 3D

1pm-BATB (want to arrive early so i can talk to a CM about sitting in the first couple of rows as i always do)

1:20pm-2:20pm-FP+ TOT

1:45pm-eat lunch

2:15pm-leave

since i'll be eating lunch kinda late i'll bring a snack to eat between attractions.

Looks like an interesting itinerary for the day! I don't think you're crazy..I'd be interested to know if you get it all done!

A question, if I may?

Why have the TSMM FP+ at 9:35? It looks like the way you have that laid out right now, you'll be doing some backtracking. Is it possible to go from TOT to GMR instead, ride GMR, then go to VotLM and then to TSMM (putting your TSMM FP+ in the 11:15-12:15 slot (or maybe 11:30-12:30)?

If you went to GMR first, you might (at least as I'm trying to think through this) have a better shot at getting to VotLM for the 10:50 show, then go to TSMM when the show's done, hitting up Muppet Vision before heading back to the Sunset Blvd area..

ETA:
Looking up the VotLM show times..looks like they're at 9:30, 10, 10:25, 10:50, etc...

If you did move TSMM to a later time and then you got through RnRC and TOT by 10 (which I think is totally doable, unless you're trying to do two rides on one or both of them..but the itinerary only seemed to mention 1 ride each at RD). If so, you could eliminate the GMR/VotLM backtracking too by going to the 10:25 VotLM. When the show's done, hit up GMR on your way to TSMM..there should be plenty of time in that FP+ window to get to TSMM after GMR.

the next available FP+ for TSMM is 11:40am-12:40pm.
not sure how well that would work for either of your suggestions.
let me know if you think it would.
btw yes RNRC and TOT once between 9am-10am.

ETA: basically any which way i look at it there's gonna be a bit of back and forth.

Personally, I think I would take the 11:40 for tsmm. You'll definitely be able to make it there by then, and it lessens the amt of backtracking. There will still be some, since you are going back for batb and tot, but not as much.

the thing is i'll have to sit and wait for my FP+ time to start.
then i have to hope i get done with TSMM with enough time to see muppets and get back to BATB.
or i could do muppets and then TSMM but that would create a big backtrack.

This looks great. I never mind the back tracking. I count it as exercise. :-) You do a lot more than I do in DS. I do really like to see the parade and eat at 50s Prime Time and see Fantasmic on occasion so I almost always hit the park late....

Once you pass the second mickey in line you can move your next FP up a bit if the system will let you.... Have a blast!

I was thinking something similar for my August trip. Let us know how it works out.

Another option: When we were there, they opened up tapstiles at like 8:40. I went to tsmm with my daughter and my husband went to RnR with the boys. Tsmm was up and running when we got there (I moved quickly, but I was speed walking while carrying a 5 yo, so it could have been much quicker!), and we were off the ride by 9:07. RNR didn't open until exactly 9 so even though they were like 40 people from the front, we were done first. You could change your Fp to RnR for the 9:35 slot and do tsmm at rope drop, head straight for tot, and then do your FP for RnR on the way back to voltm.

I'm not sure if you'd have to wait for your FP+..

I just checked MDE and the current SB wait for GMR is 45 mins. If it is similar in April (which is also right after a holiday), give or take a few minutes, you'd be done around 11:30 or so, and then head to TSM for the window opening at 11:40. Again, give or take a few minutes, you'd probably be done around noon. (this is assuming you went to the 10:25 VotLM show)

It may be cutting it close to get to BATB after Muppets....but if the SB for GMR is similar in April, I think it'll be close no matter what order the rides are done in.

ETA: Never ind the above. Apparently TSMM is temporarily closed. I didn't see that when I first wrote the post. This is likely driving wait times at GMR up. I would suggest taking a look at what GMR's standby times are during similar crowd level days to your trip to get an idea of what that wait would be.

Taking the later TSMM FP time and doing GMR in that 10:00 timeframe might work out for you. 11:00 GMR and 12:00 Muppets only works if there is a short line for GMR, which won't likely be the case.

I agree with this but otherwise I think you'll have no problem with your plan. It doesn't seem to me to be a great deal of back tracking.

If that's everything you are trying to get done there, then yeah, that looks like a great schedule.

Dan

Personally, I would rather backtrack than waste time on lines. I think what you have now with the 9:35-10:35 TSM is absolutely fine. Just remember to keep an eye on the lines at GMR, as the wait times are often incorrect or misleading due to the way they have been roping off the queues. But I don't see a problem with this schedule at all.
