For those of you who critcized me for taking action and responding to an email Disney sent me after my complaint to them about the postcard/email "RANDOM" rates that were sent out, I am pleased to announce that 1/2/04 I received a phone call from my travel agent. Apparently, my no good email got into a Disney supervisors hands who contacted my travel agent to see what they could do. Your voice can not be heard if it is not spoken.

Where do you get the address to complain, e-mail or snail mail that goes direct to them. I was at WL concierge and would like to file a complaint on the bad service and unfriendlness of the cast members

Good for you! There is nothing wrong with constructive criticism. How are they supposed to fix things if they don't know it is "broken" ?

WDW is not perfect and if we want to see changes we need to voice our opinions. It is easy to say that "they" won't listen and do nothing but if lots of people complain, they do. Look how early entry came back.

Off topic, sorry.

disneygirl7,

What happened at WL Concierge? We are staying there in May and I am very curious about your experience. Would you mind sharing what happened?

Thanks in advance.

Lewski709,

What was Disney's response to you?

Randomly sent, sorry....basically. It can be found on page 34 of the resort board. I would bump the original email up, but the mod's here hate me and lock almost every thread I start.

I don't remember the address I sent to complain to, but someone on the resort board led me in the right direction. Of course, I can't find the email either...although I am still looking for you.

As for the rate....sorry, my little secret. Let's just say, I didn't need a postcard.

I misunderstood the title of the thread...so it wasn't a crappy response you received but a GREAT one!:)

I guess I missed what the bulk of your complaint to Disney originally was...was it a particular resort you had problems with? I am all ears when it comes to such gory details.;)

Lewski709, Search is down. This complaint was based solely on the fact that you didn't get a postcard, even though others (some, randomly selected others) were getting a postcard right?
And so WDW contacted your TA to offer you a big fat discount based on that complaint right?
You didn't have a bad experience at WDW or experience below acceptable service, but you were complaining about the fact that you, personally, did not recieve a postcard right?

As for the rate....sorry, my little secret. Let's just say, I didn't need a postcard. [/B]

No offense, but why then tell us how they responded to your email and insinuate what a great deal you got and then not share it? Why bother saying anything at all? Do you think we are all going to call and say "well you did it for So and So?" We're just curious to see how they made things right.

You won't tell us the rate? What kind of response is that? I thought that these boards were here to help all of us. Gee, I see why your threads have a problem here.

She won't tell the rate because she probably didn't get a good one. Lewski was upset at some last time because they didn't side with her about not getting a postcard. She felt that random postcards were unfair. Somehow I doubt that Disney did anything of substance but maybe tossed her a little something to shut her up. Sorry Lewski but you shouldn't have even posted your little brag if you can't back it up by giving out the great deal they offered.

THIS was the bulk of her complaint? I can't imagine being on the receiving end of that complaint... Well...I doubt it hurts Disney to offer some AP rate rooms...and maybe some luggage tags.:rotfl:

Yeah, why would I post anything, you are right.

If you read the response, I do say I didn't need the postcard. That itself meaning just because I did not get one doesn't mean the rate can not be achieved. Basically, AP rates without the AP.

The CTH rate that was/is out is not the same as the postcard/email rates.

Yep, my original email to Disney was questioning the postcard/email random sendings. I am not on the receiving end, but if they are so random, why can they not be transferred? That was the base of my email. The questions I had could not be answered by the standard/generic response given, so I emailed them back again.

Correct Skiwee....it doesn't hurt Disney to offer AP rates or luggage tags and I am thankful to get them. It doesn't hurt my feelings either if that is all I get. So, Disney.........thanks and offer me anything little you like to SHUT ME UP.

My original thread is on page 34 of this board if anyone wants to read it. That was the 1st crappy response. Disney making the effort alone to call my travel agent was more than actually expected. I just posted an update to let people know.........they don't know it all and contacting Disney to voice a concern, let alone anyone, is worthwhile.

I am not on this board to make people angry, but there seems to be a lot of pent up frustration by some posts.

Good for you...glad you got one over on Disney. But meanwhile you, with all the whining and complaining because someone got something you didn't, may have ruined it for the rest of us.

Why would Disney continue giving these GIFTS if they get scads of emails from people "speaking up" against them.

It only takes one bad apple...

Personally, when one of my children act out because the other got "something better" at Christmas I discourage the behavior.

Disney gives out PLENTY of discounts throughout the year so that the average intelligent person does not ever have to pay full price for a Disney vaction. And yet we still complain?

This behaviour is petty and childish. I have never gotten either a postcard or an email discount but I have taken every POSITIVE measure to increase my chances of getting one. I wait patiently for this kind gesture from Disney and dont feel that I am entitled to anything just because I WANT it.

very well said!

I just asked for explanations, I didn't cry or whine or get one over on Disney. I didn't RUIN it for anyone else.

This is the exact reason I did not want to publicize what exactly I got. I professionally and courteously composed an email to Disney with valid points or I would not have received ANY response.

They will continue to send these "gifts" as they have slow seasons and want to increase the traffic during these times. They are still sending postcards, emails, codes and packages. I know about ALL the discounts out there and I certainly know which are better than the rest. I don't insult anyone in the process of getting a better rate.

I don't expect anything "free" from Disney, but I am entitled to my opinion and entitled to voice it. They are in the satisfaction business and want feedback. I too continue to wait for a postcard/email.

I guess it was probably wrong of me to send a thank you letter to them about the trip last year. I shouldn't have written to tell them about the hotel, staff and vacation being wonderful.

Do you vote?

This has really turned off topic for the resort board - it is just turning into a bickerfest! It is done now!
