Anyone know if the crane ever comes down sooner than expected?
It's scheduled from 1/22-2/10.

We had a crane in one of our Magic Kingdom pictures too.

The seriously need a "like" button.
But on a different note. . .what is with the newest trend of either
A) complaining about rides being broken down/things being shoddy looking
And
2) complaing about maintenance/update down times and wanting them to end early for your trip?
You can't have it both ways everyone. I know that travel during the spring and fall aren't that easy, but Disney needs to take things down or have cranes/scrims/construction barricaded up sometime.
Less maintenance = more breakdowns/shoddier appearances
No cranes/construction = nothing new in the parks
Disney has done their research, they know when is the best time for them to get this work done. Do they take your thoughts into consideration? No. So just make the best of it and have fun, you're in the Most Magical Freakin' Place on the Freakin' Earth.

I'm glad everyone enjoyed my photo pun. Brent, we are not from Illinois. Who looked familiar - I want to let them know they have a doppelganger in Illinois.![]()

In all seriousness write Disney an emotional and polite letter about how disappointed you were that there were so many renovations occurring during the time of your visit and see if you get anything out of it. You might get a free dinner, or even a free park hopper. I had a trip once where it rained every single day. It was just a weekend trip so things like Splash mountain were really only a one shot deal. Thunder Mountain was also closed. I had several instances of employees and restaurants being very rude to us. I'm sure when it rains that much their jobs are a lot harder, but I was trying to make the most of it myself, and their rudeness certainly didn't help. I wrote a long letter about how disappointed I was and how I always remember Disney being a magical and friendly place and how in my early 20's bringing friends who had never been before, not only did it live up to my expectations, they had a hard time understanding what all the fuss was about, between rides being broken, and employee rudeness and the rain (obviously understood, was not Disney's fault). They called me and asked me what I wanted, I didn't ask for anything in the letter, I just expressed how I'd felt. I said, honestly a new park hopper so I can just hit re-do on this trip, and they gave it to me. I was very surprised actually. I appreciated that they took the time, cared, and wanted to make it right. Corporations don't tend to do that these days. Sorry ... I got a little off track. I hope you can still try to make the most of your trip.
