Crane at Castle

Anyone know when the crane will be removed at the castle?

We saw the crane up last Friday morning. Crews were painting the spires. Then it was gone the rest of our visit. I talked to friends who were there last night and the crane is still gone. Although I loved the castle with all the characters on it, it looks very nice now, too.

Regarding the overall work on the Castle, it is tentatively scheduled to complete all externally visible work by December 19, 2006. Also on (or by) the 19th, the construction walls around Cinderella Castle Courtyard are scheduled to be removed. Current reports hold that the crane is typically out of sight by mid-day, although it is sometimes visible into the early afternoon. It is currently not clear how much longer the Crane will be used during operational hours, Cast Member reports relating to this portion of the work vary from Late November to Mid December.

If I were at home right now I could have that crane cloned out of your photo under a minute through photoshop. I'll try to get to it tonight if I can, unless someone else does it sooner. What a sweet smile!

That's interesting. The article stated (though it is unofficial) that the crane is expected to be there through mid December but yet, there are now reports that the crane has been removed from the MK now.

during the day it goes up and down...

This may be coincidental, however, I think it might come down when weddings are being held at the Wedding Pavilion!

We had our wedding there on October 17th and the crane was up just before we started the wedding and so we were very disappointed that it would show up in some of our wedding photos, however by the time the ceremony started we noted that it had been taken down!

I don't know when it goes down, but the first morning we went to MK (first time ever!) it hovered over the castle.

It was really distracting...it was there almost every morning.

It goes down in the afternoon but should be done by December. When the crane is down you can't really see it.

Thanks DemonLlama... Yeah, with the sky being such a solid blue, I suppose it would be pretty easy to get it out of there... maybe I'll mess around with it tonight...

I was all excited to get in the MK at 8:00 for Crystal Palace breakfast so I could get some good pictures of the castle with no one around... but my hopes were quickly smashed by the big ugly crane...

The day this picture was taken it was 2:00pm and the crane was still there - I could see how someone would be disappointed if this was their first sight of Cinderella Castle...
