Cranberry & Pineapple Continued.....Again.

Jrsy - thanks for the gas prices, unfortunately we have to fill up with Diesel. Hoping it is around the same price!

Selena - I am fighting a migraine too, and I also think it is due to the barometric pressure. Both Rumors are FALSE. :lmao:

LOL Well you know I had to ask. :confused3

Thank you so much, I know this sounds silly but it makes me feel better to know I am not the only one that suffers with headaches/migraines from the weather. Sometimes I feel like all I do is get sick. I really do take care of myself. But I am always sick. I am sorry you are suffering though. I know how much it stinks. I sucked it up and took loads of medicine and went out with my friends. Had 3 martinis and I have to say I feel better. lol Our bartender is the best. Last week he gave us a martini for free this week he gave us to draft redoaks for free. He looks like he is 12 but he is a sweetie.

Jrsy, OMGoodness your pictures are awesome. I had to put them on hold to being up how tall Alex is getting. Do you realize in a year he will be as tall as you are. How old is he again?

I want to go to Yellowstone now!!!

I want to say to all of you, Tammy and Jrsy and Heidi and Sandy, you guys are great for going on this type of trip.

hey Selena, how's the headache?

Jrsy, both Ted and I enjoyed your pictures. Not sure if we answered your question but we are staying at the Fishing Bridge campground. Only hardsides are allowed there due to bears. The link you provided for gas prices actually had the Sinclair by Fishing Bridge with the price not bad at all. I've compiled all your tips and will print out tomorrow. Thanks!

Jrsy - I absolutely LOVED all your pictures. They made me even more excited to go! If I come back scalded with burns all over my body, you will know I couldn't resist the beautiful looking water! Yay, we leave tomorrow at 3:00am!

Selena - I know what you are feeling, I hate always having a migraine when the weather changes, I hate being a "sicky" but unfortunately I can't control the weather!

My head is good today. I took loads of stuff before going to be last night. lol Not really just the night time cold medicines I am on for my cold and my allergy medication. I have mis-placed the allergy nasal spray I have. I can not find it anywhere. Jeff kept on saying that would help me but if I can not find it, it can not help. I could have called the pharmacy and had them re-fill the prescription I guess.

Sandy you guys are so lucky that Jrsy went ahead of you. This way you can learn from all of his tips. That is just awesome.

My dad is coming today. I think we are going to the movies to see the Museum movie in High Point. They have the $1 movies there.

I am seriously going to have start packing soon. I am just in denial. I know once I am packed then that means I have to go back to work. Oh and I truly feel just totally guilty in saying that. God sometimes has a sense of humor and I love love my job. Just the people I work with are enough to make anyone dread going back.

I have decided to handle things differently at work this year. I will not take as much. Now that does not mean I will act ugly. I am just not that type of person. But I am going to call "my boss' out everytime she talks ugly to me. I am just going to say did you mean that to come out hateful? I am sure she will say something like well I am from the North. If she does I am going to say well how long have you lived her now? (I know for a fact over 20 years). I think if I stand up to her more and refuse to take her crap she will back of one day. Now this can be done without sounding hateful or mean. I am just sick and tired of allowing her to get to me. I also am not leaving work until anything that is bothering is settled. I make myself so upset and anxious over things that once at home I can not sleep. I am once again sick and tired of allowing things they do to ruin my evenings and interrupt my sleep. I blame all of this on myself because I could have stepped up to the plate sooner and confronted her before now. It just took me 2 years of working directly with her as my supervisor to realize the nicer I am to her the more hateful she treats me. Now when I say I blame it on myself, I mean I could have handled things in a different way to make things easier on me. I do not mean that the hateful things she does is my fault.

OK enough of that crap.

It is a nice looking day here. I need to get off my bum and get moving. My coffee is now gone.

Jrsy, your pictures are very good. Makes me want to go

He'll be 13 in October. He had a year or so where he pudged up before the big growth spurt. Now the picky eater eats everything in sight. He's even trying new things before deciding whether he likes them or not.

Heidi replied with your location. I think all of the gas prices throughout the park are the same, too. Here is another tip for you: when you are bored on the drive, write up a list of all 50 states (without a map, see how hard it is). Then, while you are in the park, keep track of how many states you see license plates from. We did that on the drive home and came up with 28 out of 50 plus plates from British Columbia and Quebec.

Jrsy - I absolutely LOVED all your pictures. They made me even more excited to go! If I come back scalded with burns all over my body, you will know I couldn't resist the beautiful looking water! Yay, we leave tomorrow at 3:00am!
Trust me, Heidi, if you can't resist the water, you won't be coming back. I picked up a book there called Death in Yellowstone and people who have entered the hot springs, either intentionally or accidentally, didn't live very long afterwards and for the time they did, they were in excruciating pain.

Jrsy, your pictures are very good. Makes me want to go
Thanks! It is definitely a great place to visit; I just hated the drive to get there and back.

Getting off work now, not sure if I will be able to say goodbye since our computer is dead at home and it might be a little chaotic at my parent's house so..........

GOODBYE! Have a great 2 weeks.

I hope you guys have an awesome time.

For us lonelys that are left, we are going to have to step it up and post otherwise our poor little thread will be pitiful.

The movie was good. I just felt while the end was a happy ending, I just felt like they left a lot open. Maybe they are going to go back and figure that out and do another one but then that will take the happy ending from #2 and make it sad.

We went to dinner and while we were not in the smoking area we were close and my head automatically started banging. I stood up and told my family and parents that we needed to leave. We were done but just sitting there. Thank goodness that did not trigger another headache.

Tomorrow is a pool party that we have been invited to go to. We made steak kabobs to take, taking some beer and some more beer margaritas. Woo Woo. We were going to go out of town to visit friends in Vriginia but we could not get anyone to watch the kids Friday. While I can go to a pool party for a few hours I would not feel comfortable leaving my 16 and 14 yo at home alone over night.

Sorry but it isn't goodbye. We have MAJOR problems with our trailer and can't leave. Can't get it on the truck even. It is the hydraulic system. One that they have worked on before. I swear that it should be considered a lemon under the lemon law. It isn't even a cheap brand. It is in the RV world like a Cadillac. I feel they should rent us something. Anyway, we sit here until tomorrow and figure out what's next. They have to fly out a pump and that will take a couple of days and then work on it. This isn't the first pump they have replaced. Do we wait and hopefully just go to Canada? Wait till next summer? Go to Mexico instead? Poor guys are dealing with some sad wives.

OMG I just read on Heidi's facebook that you guys might not be going and of course I jumped on here. Oh NO!!! This is so unfair. I could tell you all the why you should not go and there is a reason but I know right now that is not going to help you out one bit. I am so sorry. Bunches of prayers for a quick solution. I also agree they should rent you something! This stinks.

oh no! I am sorry. They should give you something to take, forget about renting you something. I know you are disappointed. :(

Awwww Sandy & Heidi I hope you figure it all out soon so you can go.

I'm with you, Cristi...if this wasn't the first time the hydraulics were a problem, I'd be telling them that either they provide a loaner or plan to pay for all of the reservations that would need to be cancelled last minute at the campgrounds. Of course, that is easy for me to say as I sit here, away from the problem.

I'm going to hold out hope that everything works out...

UPDATE......we MAY be leaving soon. May NOT be the hydraulic system. Battery tested bad so the guys are replacing it now. The part of the battery we could test was perfect but the part we can't test for came back immediately with a replace. Cross your fingers. If you don't hear from us we are on the road.

Since we didn't hear again, I'm hoping you guys are on the road!

Just like the song says, ON THE ROAD AGAIN! After leaving 8 hours late we arrived further down the road. We were going to stop at Thermopolos originally and just kept going once we hit it. We are in Cody Wyoming. Got here around 11 last night. Great timing on the road. Now no laughs but Walmart allows people to stay for free so that is where we are. Why pay for a campground for so little time? Anyway headed out of here soon. No problems yet but we haven't taken it off the truck. Stopped by the dealership on our way out and they showed us how to do do things manually in case we have problems.

After calming down and really thinking about it, our dealership is the best. It is the manufacturer that we need to deal with. Even with the lemon law we would be suing the manufacturer. (I did research after all I had 8 hours to do so). The dealership printed out every single work order they have for us and what they did for the problem.

I am rambling and should be cleaning up the trailer to close it down. I want to take pictures of the truck and trailer camping out at Walmart. LOL

Yay! Enjoy your trip!

My interesting Cody story is when we stopped to fill gas, I went inside to pre-pay, just out of habit. The guy working told me to just go ahead an fill up, then pay whatever the total was. I was incredulous, especially with so many tourists passing through town.

It is probably too late to share my last tip, but just in case you see this before you get into the park: the only place we had cell phone service in the park was near Old Faithful. Of course, we have AT&T, so you may have a different experience because some places we had no service we saw other people on their cell phones. I heard that Verizon got good coverage there.

I have to rant a bit. What I am ranting about is not important but just a pain to have to do.

As you know we leave a week from Sunday on our B2B cruises. We are going on Royal Caribbean on the Monarch of the Seas out of Port Canaveral. We have been on RCI 4 times with these 2 making the 5th and 6th cruises with RCI. Lately we have been cruising Carnival because the pricing is cheaper and we actually enjoy Carnival better. It is not a party atmosphere as many may think. Our last 4 cruises have been on Carnival and we have really gotten use to how they do things. Hence the rant.
I printed my documents a while ago but when we booked the second leg of the cruises my TA told me I had to reprint docs he would be sending me by email. No biggie there. That is not the issue. Anyway today I spoke with my TA about the correct documents and printed them. While I was doing this I was looking for my luggage tags. On page 8 is a tiny luggage tag. I am guessing it is 3 1/2 by 1 1/2. Now tell me how the crap am I to use that tiny tag on my luggage. So, I post on another board about this issue and ask a couple of questions. It seems that this tag in your docs is only a guide. I have yet to get a clear answer but either you use this guide to fill out your own tags at port or someone there has to give you the "real" luggage tag.
Now I might be slow at times but get real. This is crazy. It is a waste of time if I have to fill them out or if I have to wait to see someone to get the correct tag, that is not only a pain but a waste of time as well.
I know RCI is not Carnival, but Carnival has the luggage tag in their edocs. You just print them with your docs and you fold them making the 3 ply and then use a stapler to attach them to your piece of luggage. This is just so much easier.

OK sorry I knew I could not do this on that other board. Over there either you cruise one or the other line. They really do not care for people who are open minded enough to enjoy any cruiseline.
