Cranberry & Pineapple Continued.....Again.

Good Morning, Ladies!
I'm doing my part to keep the thread going in Sandy and Heidi's absence. We had a busy Saturday and a relaxing Sunday. The company picnic was from 11-3 on Saturday and the weather was perfect. We spent the evening at a friend's chili cook-off and, again, not even a threat of the rain that typically comes in the late afternoon or evening. Couldn't have asked for a better day.
Since we'd been gone last weekend and were so busy on Saturday, we had no plans, no schedule and nowhere to go yesterday. Did some work around the yard, swam and Alex and I watched Order of the Phoenix in the cool of the basement when the day got hot.

I just ran errands and did a bit of house work. I also was lazy but I think that has more to do with the cold I have. Jeff has made me promise to go to the doctor on Wednesday if I am not better. However, I know it is only a cold and there is nothing they can do about it. I mean, I get colds so often that I know when to go to the doctor, but I agreed because my doctor is the best. They will prescript me something so I can take it with me because they know I will not take anything unless I have a real need.
I have been doing more packing. I will wait for the majority of my clothing simply because I change my mind so often. It is easier to put the other stuff in my luggage for now.
A Perfect Gift called me just a few minutes ago. I thought it was so nice of them. The lady who is doing my bag did not want to charge me $20 for an underwater camera. So she wanted to talk to me before completing my bag for Mac. With the camera the bag was $116 and with out it is $96. First I said to leave it in but then I remembered I have actually been thinking do I need to pick one up for the first cruise. This worked out perfectly this way I can buy one and if she uses it so be it. If she does not take all the pictures she will have the film for the second cruise. Once again Shirley and her employees rock!!
Did I mention I am taking the kids to see Pelham 123 today. It starts at 1.

So I went for a physical back in April after turning 40 and my cholesterol is high. I had 3 months to try to bring it down and, while I did, it wasn't quite enough. I brought my total cholesterol down from 222 to 204 and my LDL down from 159 to 144. Unfortunately, I also brought my HDL down from 41 to 39. So I am now on a trial of 10 mg of Crestor daily. The reason it is a "trial" is to make sure I don't have any problems with it. 1 in 10 people will experience muscle aches and 1 in 100 will have liver damage (but that is true with all statins). The reason I am on Crestor rather than Lipitor or Zocor is because any of them will lower the LDL but Crestor will also boost the HDL.
In other exciting news, I believe our lawn mower has died. Typically, when I start it up, it will belch out a little white smoke then run clean. Last night, it belched out a lot of white smoke continuously until I shut it down. Couldn't find anything wrong with it, so I started it up again and it was fine. I mowed the back and wasn't even halfway done with the front when the front wheels seized up. It is one of those mowers with front wheel drive so, not only weren't the wheels helping to pull the mower along, they weren't turning at all. I found the manual and it was more than 12 years old. I may look into an electric one to replace it.

Oh Jrsy I hate you have to go on medicine. Does this run in your family? Jeff had high blood pressure about 10 years ago. After losing 40 lbs he lost the high blood pressure as well. Heart problems run very badly in both sides of his family. Jeff does not take care of himself at all. No exercise and he eats whatever he wants. He is back up the 40lbs. After years of fussing with him, 5 years ago I took our a Cardic Insurance Plan. I figured if he was not willing to do the things to take care of himself, I had to do some things to look at the future to take care of us finacinally.

Sometimes I wonder why I post on another board. But then I remember it is actually a great form of knowledge and a lot of my friends post on that board.
Anyway, for the last 2 days there has been the poster (PrincesScuba from Reading England) that has replied to a lot of my posts. I have tried to put her sharp posts to the fact that she is from England. Just thinking that we might be different enough that her sharp posts is just the way they are in England and I might have been looking more into her posts.
I have been posting a couple of times on a specific thread. It is a review thread of the ship we are going on next week. I had asked a question a week or so ago and today when I went to my subscripted threads I saw that someone had posted on the thread. Hoping it was the lady that I asked the question to I popped over. Sure enough it was and she had answered my question. She also posts the 3 day Capers. As I was looking at them I noticed that the ship has a restaurant I did not know about. I asked her a few questions about this restaruant. Well this PrincesScuba shows up and posts a link. No typing just a link. Now that within itself is not ugly but I guess I just had had it with her short and snappy posts to me over the last 2 days. So me...being me...ask her ... I said something along the lines of I do not know anyother way to ask this without it sounding hateful so I am just going to ask, and then I asked her why did she just post a link and not answer my question. Almost instantly she replied very hateful telling me how hateful and nasty I am. She use Friggin a few times and used symbols to cuss me and said I ought to be banned. lol Now I know this should have really upset me but it only made me laugh. Because her reply proved to me she had been being hateful to me and with her quick reply she had been following me around the board.
You see, there was another person from the same town from another board that stalked me to some degree. I really feel like it is the same person with a new user name since she had been ban in the past.
This only made me more curious so I then started searching her posts. One guy had started a thead about where the suite reserved lounge chairs are located. PrincesScuba answered him with the following... According to your signature, you have never sailed on a Royal Caribbean ship, much less a Voyager class, so it's going to be somewhat useless to describe the location to you.
But I'll do it anyway.
Isn't this person a bit sharp in her postings? Or is it me?

My nephew has been in town for about a week now. He is spending most of the time with my parents, but he stayed with us from Wed night to Sat afternoon last week. We went to the museum of Nature and Science one day and the other two just hung out around the house playing Wii, card games and watching movies.
Rachel got sick Saturday. Turned out to be Strep. She is doing much better now, but her throat is still a little sore. Poor kid.

Hey Cristi. Sounds like you have a busy time.
I feel better about that woman. I really felt like she was stalking me there for a couple of days becasue everytime I would ask a question and not by starting a new thread she would pop on and answer simialrly to the way she did that guy. Then once I called her out, and yes, honestly that is what I did by my post to her last night, and her reply it really had me thinking she was that chick from a board I chose not to post on any longer. After looking up some of the other posts to other people I am not sure anymore who she is but I do believe she is a unhappy person because he posts were all a bit "snippy".
My throat has been sore for about 2 weeks now. Two weeks ago Saturday I woke up with it and then it got a bit better thru that week then last Saturday I woke up with it again. Although I promised Jeff to go to the doctor by today if I am not better I will go on Friday. There is just no way I am going with an idea it could get worse.
It seems like I have something to do every day but then again what I have to do is not much. I have divided it all out on a daily basis so I would not be just swamped this week.
Monday take kids to movies and go go Staples for the one cent notebook filler paper-CHECK
Tuesday-run to Walmart, Walgreens, Rite Aid, Dollar Tree and Dollar General. Would up at Walgreens twice. Take Erik to get a haircut CHECK
Wednesday-tan and go to the Credit Union and then the bank, go to a Aveda Store and buy my mom a birthday present CHECK
Thursday-take Coopie to the vet, Happy Birthday Mom-they will be down
Friday-wash my car and clean it up really good, go to bank to get cash for cruise, any last minute things yet to be done and Jeff and I are going out for date night
Saturday-grocery shopping, cooking for Jeff for the week I am gone and packing
Sunday-leave at 5 or 6am
I hope the medicine works!

It does run in the family; my mother takes Lipitor and my dad takes Zocor.
My feelings exactly on the mower; I never expect anything to last that long anymore, so 12 years is really good.
Is there no way to report a bad post on that board the way there is here?
It does, but one of our neighbors has an electric mower and our lawn area isn't that big, so I started to look into them yesterday. Lowe's had one on their website and, when I put in our zip code, the price dropped about $30. I read the reviews and 10 of 11 were positive, so we went and bought it last night.
Me, too! One positive thing is that my physician said that he has to take it, too. I'm surprised that he has high cholesterol but feel better that he isn't prescribing something he hasn't tried himself.
Well Yes there is. I reported her nasty post to me but did not feel like it is my place to report any of the others. I do not want the Mods to get upset at me for reporting every single thing she has said to me or she has posted to others. I did notice she is staying away from me though. lol I replied to her post and told her that I was not being hateful but she sure was. lol
Hope the new mower works. After using it a few times you will have to give us a review.
Glad to see you back posting Marcie. I know how hectic things can be after vacation. I rarely come home totally relaxed because I know what I will have to do when I get home.
I almost dread coming back from these cruises because I know how bad it is going to be. We will not be home until real late in the evening. I will have to unpack and put up stuff. Plus all the laundry. Yuck and I have to go back to work the next day!! YIKES.
Speaking of work, I got my letter today giving me my schedule of our first 6 days back to work. I am hoping this means I do have a job. lol The first day back I will still be on vacation. I will go in on Tuesday, Wednesday and work a half day on Thursday and I may or may not take Friday off. Same for Monday. I do not technically have to work any of those 6 days since I am office staff. But I do have a bit of work I have to get done before the students come back. I am going to take a hard look at my built up days off and the amount I will accure till January. I am going to compare that with the days I have to take off thru January. This will determine how many days I can waste during those first 6 days back without the students.
I almost dread coming back from these cruises because I know how bad it is going to be. We will not be home until real late in the evening. I will have to unpack and put up stuff. Plus all the laundry. Yuck and I have to go back to work the next day!! YIKES.

Yes, I didn't get much sleep this time, Friday night 2 hours and a couple of more Saturday and Sunday, left work Friday went straight to the airport and got home at 10:30 p.m. back to work the next morning. I am not as young as I used to be.
Yes, it was nice to have an update.

Hi guys, sitting in the internet cafe enjoying a smoothie of sorts. Everyone else is on a very long strenuous hike.
Have I ever told you that I LOVE DU and Kelsie? DCL offered me an upgrade from a 9 to a 6 for 300.00. Kelsie did everything in her power to find me.
Feels good to just sit and do nothing. We have extended our stay here in Canada until Wednesday. It is so beautiful here. Just in case anyone wants to look it up we are in Waterton Natl Park at the Townsite. So much to do and so llittle time. Weather is cool. First couple of days it was extremely overcast but the way it was over the mtns made it worth it. Taking lots of pictures. Have seen quite a few bears. Deer roam the campground.
