Cranberry & Pineapple Continued.....Again.

Has anyone watched or seen the trailers for The Hangover? The chubby dude is names Zach Galifianakis. He went to school with me. He is a year younger than I am but he was good friends with one of my guy friends in school. You just don't hear of many people from Wilkesboro, North Carolina being in a movie.

Selena, Cooper is the sweetest dog. Soooooo adorable. Could you just take water off the ship? We pack our own bottles and then fill them for an excursion. Then we call room service for PB&J sandwiches. They come with chips. We pack ziploc bags from home so that we can transport them. It would save a couple of bucks. Just not sure if you HAVE to buy for that package to Atlantis.

Cristi he is a sweet puppy. Mac bought clothes for him today. She has taken a lot of pictures. He has on a little basebal shirt now.

You go on vacation in 5 days!!! Are you packed?

We had graduation tonight. It is the last big thing we have to go to. I am fortunate though, I only have graduation that I am required to attend. Tomorrow is the after party. Woo I am making White Cosmos. I also bought some of the sweet tea vodka. Not sure I am taking it though.

I think my countdown is off by a few hours. We leave Friday morning, early. No, I am no where near even thinking about packing. Guess it is a good thing I am off on Thursday, huh? :)

I haven't seen the movie but there was a short article about him with the review of the movie in the last issue of Entertainment Weekly. I don't think it mentioned where he was from but there was some reference to the south. I'll have to see if I can find a link to it.

Here it is:

He mentions buying a farm in North Carolina.

Selena - Cooper is so cute. My friend wants to see The Hangover so I am sure I will be seeing him on the big screen!

Cristi - Have fun on your trip. I love DC.

Jrsy - What a great birthday present, can I come too??!!!!!

Marcie - I hope you are enjoying your vacation!

Busy, busy, busy! At work and of course no one did my work while I was gone. I uploaded some pictures last night so hoping to do a trip report soon.

I enjoyed staying at HoJo's last year, it was nice. When we went, the pool closed crazy early though! We stayed in Building 2 I think.

I think we'll end up in building 2 also, facing the pool, based on the room type we selected.

Here is a link to some photos from our hikes last week while Alex was away.

You and Tammy are so adorable! That is still a lot of snow for June isn't it? We usually don't go camping/hiking until July so there is no chance of seeing snow! Loved the view, wish Chris and I could get motivated to go hiking like you and Tammy. We use to go hiking a lot, now we are just lazy. Chris even bought me a hiking trail book that we use to go through and pick random spots, now I am motivated to start again!

You want us to let you know next time we're planning to go? You are always welcome to join us.

Oh my gosh, Heidi. I remember when he bought you that book. I only wish I could hike. There is no way though. Your dad loves to and I feel sooooooooooooooooo guilty!!!!

I might take you up on this, but don't want to hold you guys up!
You know we love the JeffCo Open Space hikes, so we wouldn't be far from you anyway most of the time. Next time we plan one, we'll give you a head's up.

Do you have the girls for Father's Day?

I forgot to post my first day of the trip report last night, so here it is:

Day 1 – May 29th

Normally I try and get the earliest flight for Florida since we lose 2 hours but this time we were staying at the Hyatt inside the Orlando Airport so I didn’t feel the need to rush and get on the earliest flight. It was nice to get up at 6:00am and not the usual 4:00am. Our flight was suppose to leave at 10:00am, but it was delayed 45 minutes. Chris was antsy to get to the airport so we ended up leaving early anyway to beat rush hour traffic. We ate breakfast at the airport, 3 of us had Einstein Bagel’s and Amanda had McDonalds.

Here is the spot we hung out at since we were there so early and had a few hours to wait. It was nice as we were able to plug in the DVD players and laptop to entertain the girls.

We arrived at the Orlando airport around 3:30 and was surprised to find a friend of ours waiting for us outside our gate. He works full-time for TSA at the Orlando airport and then part-time for Disney as a boat captain that takes you from MK to Wilderness Lodge. We talked with him through his lunch break and it was nice catching up with him as we haven’t seen him for about 2 years. Said our goodbyes and went to baggage claim to pick up our luggage. Since we had spent a few minutes talking with Eugene, our luggage had already been taken off the carousel and placed in front of the Southwest office. 1,2,3,4 suitcases …… ugh oh, what happened to the 5th one (yes, we TRIED to pack light, it just never happens)? We looked to see which one was missing and it was Chris’s. While he went to put in a claim for the missing suitcase, I started to worry that someone might have picked up the wrong bag since we were late to baggage claim. We then checked in to the Hyatt and they reassured us the bag would be found and they would bring it up to us.

Our room was on the 7th floor and was close to the pool and had a view of the parking garage and a few runways.

We got up to the room and Amanda instantly turned on the TV. We gave her the lecture of DO NOT buy any movies or order anything from the TV. As soon as we were done, she played with the remote and accidentally ordered a $4 30 minute Disney Channel show. So we got to enjoy a nice $4 TV show! 15 minutes later we received a call and the suitcase had been found. Phew, now we can officially start our vacation and start to relax, we were FINALLY here! After the show we went to shop around the airport, take pictures and eat at Chili’s.

After we were done playing around the airport and eating dinner we went back to the room and changed to go swimming. OMG, that pool was freezing. There was no way I was going in. The girls hesitated for a bit and then jumped in.

After swimming, we took our showers and headed for bed. Tomorrow was going to be an exciting day boarding the ship!

Unfortunately not since we had them for 3 weekends in a row. :sad1:
If we end up doing a Father's Day hike, we'll let you know. Alex can be Chris' surrogate kid for the day...and your surrogate step-kid. We're still waiting to see if we're doing anything with Tammy's dad before we try to plan anything.

Speaking of kids, I can't believe how much bigger the girls look since the wedding! I guess they just keep growing up, just like Alex.

Jrsy, my brother went to school with Zach's brother Greg. I ranked my brain and finally remembered his older brother's name. They actually lived fairly close to us. But I was never close to them.

Heidi I am loving the trip report. The hotel looks nice.

I read last night in the Tico Times from Costa Rica that they raised the alert level to the volcano we went to. Out of 4 they raised it to level 3. Today between 4:30 PM and 5PM...two huge PIROPLASTIC eruptions happened at the volcano...this kind of eruption is not that common but happens at least once a year...by the time of the eruption there were about 45 people at Arenal National park...they were removed...and the Park will be close until they find how serious the two eruptions were! I am so thankful that we got to see the volcano. I am not sure if I would have the nerve to go now!!
