Cranberry or Pineapple??

Here you go. Not a portable drink kind but oh so yummy. All of our DISfriends got hooked on this at Paradise Point in St. Thomas. A bartender on the MAGIC gave us the recipe.

Bushwacker
1 oz light rum
1 oz dark cream de cocoa
2 oz vanilla ice cream (I use heavy cream)
2 oz pina colada mix
Blend with ice.

Cajun Princess, where do you find Hawaiian Punch LITE?? Is it powder? That is exactly what I would want to take with me.

Mellow feeling priceless. LOL

Here is a questin for you guys out there. I work at a High School, after graduation, which I am in charge of, we had an adult after graduation party. One lady made some kind of drink, I forget the name of it and I do not have the receipe, but here are a few things it does include

Pussers Rum
Nutmeg
Some type of coconut

The blend was thick and very strong. It was not that sweet. She said she got the receipe in the Bahama's. Anyone have a clue. She also said it had to be made with the brand of rum or it was not any good.

You had me stumped so I had to do some research and it is called a Painkiller. It looks as if it had originated from the West Indies. The Painkiller is a blend of Pusser's Rum with 4 parts pineapple juice, 1 part cream of coconut and 1 part orange juice served over the rocks with a generous amount of fresh nutmeg on top. Does this sound right?

Parrot Bay is good with just abt any juice. If I'm out and can't think of what I'd like, I usually get Parrot Bay/Malibu with Cranberry juice and a splash of Sprite. Yum, yum!

That is the name of it. I had forgotten the name. Where did you do the search. I want that receipe! If it is the same thing, it is one of the best drinks I have ever had.

I could use one right now. I have 3 wild boys and 1 girl running thru the house.

RE: I went on line and found a receipe. At the Pusser's rum site I was able to look at the actual drink. It is not the same color. I think my friend mices it a little different. But it is so yummy.

jiminyC Fan - the Hawaiian Punch LITE is at Wal-Mart in the juice section next to the kool-aid, v-8 juices, apple juice, etc. It comes in a large plastic bottle. It would be heavy and bulky to bring on the ship. However if you have a cooler on wheels it might not. Just depends on what else you plan on putting in the cooler with the hawaiian punch and rum

The painkiller drink sounds really, really, good!!!!

Cajun Princess, can't put it in the rolling cooler. Dear old hubby claimed it for his PEPSI. Painkiller drink has my interest also. I need one as well. My air conditioner in my suburban went out and instead of a 150.00 repair it is ending up 1100.00. Ouch! Then FIL's funeral tomorrow.

By the way do they have coke or pespi on board? I'm guessing coke since you are bringing pespi.

Thanks for the prayer, Cajun Princess. Disney is strictly Coke. I drink Diet coke so I am fine but poor hubby is strictly a pepsi person. You should hear my dd PoohFriend #1's boyfriend and my dh go around and around. Her boyfriend works for COKE!

Heidi you amaze me as well. I can not find things like that. Now when I put in Painkiller it was easier. But I am telling you the color on those drinks are off. I am sure they are still good. Heck, if I was not watching the carbs I would make one for tonight. If not that a Rum Runner. YUMMMM.

I wonder what is a good low carb mixed drink? Anyone know of one? I have been drinking Diet Coke with splenda and rum.

I might have to go check out the favors of Crystal Light. I use the peach and raspberry teas and the pink lemonade in the summer. No alcohol added.

Ok, here is one that is not low carb for you

DH's favorite

Rum Runner
1 1/2 oz. Light rum
3/4 oz. Blackberry brandy
3/4 oz. Banana liqueur
1/4 oz. Gerasine
1 1/2 oz. Orange jucie
1 1/2 oz. Pineapple juice

Mix above ingredients in shaker. Pour into iced filled tall glass.
Float 1 oz. Dark rum (Myer's) we use 151 Barcadi

I can not drink more than one of these or I will be passed out on the bathroom floor.
I have DH drop the floater.

They make a great one on DCL. This is where we got hooked on them. They are not as strong as making this one at home. I can drink several of them on board.

I have never tried banana liqueur , but I am going apes over these drinks, thats for sure! Does anyone have that chocolate raspberry martini recipe? Also, has anyone heard of that coffee and cream liqueur that comes in some kind of split bottle? It is called Sheridans coffee liqueur and it is hard to find. Also, do they have the martini tasting AND the wine tasting AND the beer tasting all on the same cruise? We are going on the Feb 25th 7 day Magic cruise. I am really hoping they have the martini tasting because now I am in the mood for tini's. Anybody with me?!!!

I apologize if someone has mentioned these, but since I am watching carbs, I happen to *love* using Ocean Spray Light White Cranberry Juice as a mixer, as well as Raspberry Crystal Light (I like the bottled kind since it's made with splenda) also Da Vinci makes sugarfree, calorie free syrups- the cherry one is the BEST! It's a great mixer esp with a diet sprite type soda (just bought the new one with splenda!) They have drink recipes at their website, too.

I prefer rum, but use vodka if I don't have enough calories or carbs to spare! Also, you can make lemonade with splenda and add vodka for a low carb hard lemonade. The low carb rum sounds fab, but haven't seen it yet. I have to add, if you add fresh lime to rum and diet coke, it tastes a whole lot better.

I have to say in Disney I'm looking forward to trying the Space Monkey ( a chocolate shake with banana liqueur and something else I think Kahlua) wow! I love banana liqueur. In Cancun when I was on vacation 4 years ago, they had a drink called a Funky Monkey which had rum, banana liqueur, a brown liqueur, might have been kahlua, a whole banana and some creamy milk shakey type base- tasted innocent and knocked you out! But that's obviously not for when I'm watching carbs. I am trying to lose 20 lbs. before I go, so I will be ahead when I gain 10 lbs from pina coladas, pasta, fiesta margaritas, and desserts . . .

Lulu! You sound JUST like me. I am watching my carbs and am trying to lose 20 pounds before I go cruisin. This way, I can eat, drink and still be ahead of the game!!! How do you think I figured out I can only have one made with it all? I did pass out. Did not get sick. Just passed out at 8:00 pm on the loveseat and DH on the sofa.

LululovesDisney, I did not realize that the Ocean Spray Light used splenda. Where do you buy the suger free syrups?

I am trying to firm up. I do not need to lose weight. I have been watching my carbs for 3 weeks now. I have lost about 6 pounds. I doubt I will lose much more weight. Inormally never lose below 110 when on a carb diet. I am excerising so I can tone. This way I can eat and drink what I want on the cruise in September.
