I have found the sugar free syurps at TJ Maxx. Some of them have a wide selection and others only have a few bottles, so if the first one you try does not have much, try another if you are near.

I ordered sf syrups at davincisyrups.com, but found them cheaper at netrition.com I have also seen them in Marshalls (no TJ Maxx nearby) but for some reason no grocery stores. Vanilla, Cherry, and Raspberry are great. Hazelnut or Amaretto are good in coffee. I did not like the Toasted Marshmallow or the Peach very much though. Worth it! :flower:

I just lost 55 pounds so I can go on the Panama Repo cruise and be comfortable in the heat. I will definitely have a drink of the day or a BBC while on the cruise. Of course, after starting this thread you all know that I will try and make some Malibu rum drinks myself. I will then have to diet to get off all those pounds after eating and drinking like that.

Sandy,
I have cheated for 2 days now. I hope I have not gained too much back. I guess that is what I get for sending th ekids to grandpa's house. But I have still be faithful to walk at least 45-55 minutes everyday on my threadmill. I am burning 400+ calories and 120+ fat calories. Maybe I am not too bad off.

My key to losing has been going to "Curves" aside from watching carbs. I have so far lost over 20 pounds and over 30 inches and STILL have a little bit more to go to feel comfortable in being able to eat and drink a bit. We DID try to check out the sizes of the small cranberry juices at Albertsons tonight. Also, the only Bacardi drink I saw that was low carb was the apple.  You guys keep up the good work! We will all need top keep losing if we are going to be trying all these new delicious drinks!!! Still want the choco rasp martini. I cannot get that one out of my mind!!! :p

Bailey's chocolate raspberry martini:
2 oz Smirnoff Rasberry Twist
1 oz Chocolate Vodka
1 oz Kahlua Coffee Liqueur
1 oz Bailey's Irish Cream
Pour each ingredient into a cocktail shaker half-filled with ice cubes. Shake well, strain into a martini glass, and serve.

Lady Godiva chocolate rasberry martini:
2 ounces of Godiva Chocolate liqueur
2 ounces of Creme de Cacao
1 ounce of half-and-half
2 ounces of freezing Goldenbarr Chocolate vodka
2 oz Smirnoff Rasberry Twist
1 tablespoon of shaved white chocolate
2 well chilled, classy looking martini glasses

Combine the Godiva Chocolate liqueur, Creme de Cacao, Goldenbarr Chocolate vodka, and Smirnoff Rasberry Twist into a cocktail shaker half full of cracked ice.
Shake for one full minute.
Add the half-and-half to the shaker and gently swirl (circular motion).
Strain your fine chocolate creation into your martini glasses.
Top each martini with shaved chocolate.

Funky Monkey Chocolate Banana Martini:
2 ounces of Score Banana vodka
1 ounce of Creme de Cacao
1 tablespoon of chocolate syrup
1 tablespoon of chocolate milk
2 tablespoon of chocolate ice cream
2 freezing martini glasses

Add your Score Banana vodka and Creme de Cacao to a shaker half full of ice.
Shake, shake, shake for a full minute.
Let your shaker rest while you prep your glasses.
Add 1 tablespoon of ice cream to each glass.
Drizzle the chocolate syrup over the ice cream.
Ad the chocolate milk to your shaker, and give another ten shakes.
Strain your chocolate martini into the glasses.

Just had to pop in so that dreammakermom got her recipe and then Lulu had my interest in the funky monkey so I had to look that up as well. Sounds so yummy!!! (although these recipes are far from low carb!!!!)

Pooh ~ you are right now looking to be MY #1 friend!!!! You are TOO good to me!!!! Those recipes look great! I JUST got off the phone to my sister in Nebraska who is coming on the cruise with us. We were talking of how much of what, who is bringing!!!! We started off saying a bottle of this and a bottle of that and we ended up on 2-3 bottles of this....
:rotfl: :rotfl:  .What a memory this will be!!!!! So now I need to go find that little shaker thing to mix the drinks in, and to find out where (here or on the islands) I can get that Sheridans Coffee Liqueur!. That shaker will be a perfect Christmas idea for me to tell DH to get me. Thanks again! This ones for you!!!! :drinking1 Karen

I have thought about joining curves. My step MIL did and she is loving it. We have had one open up close to my house recently. I need to get in shape. That is my goal. I really do not need to lose. I need to lose the fat.

Last summer I lost my dad and then my mom. I am 47 next week (I think.... lost track of the date today) and when this happened, I looked terrible. I gained and wasn't even eating. I KNEW I had to do something or else my mind AS WELL as my body, was going to go. So I grabbed my 25yo daughter who had mentioned Curves to me before and I told her I needed to do something. So, we did and it has been wonderful. The one we go to is alot of fun and there are games and prizes all the time. It is a great support system. Just knowing that my routine takes 30 mins tops, does it for me. Although I just started a job 3 weeks ago and I haven't exercised since because my traininig hours were weird. BUT.. tomorrow I am going. We have since, signed up the other daughter. She is turning 16 in 3 weeks. So.... it has been great and I actually see results. Let me know if you try it. The best part is that it is for women only and the ages vary so no one feels out of place and the sizes of the women vary also, so everyone fits in!!! Like I said, let me know if you check it out!!  (Wish I had as much energy as this banana!!!!) Karen

Karen - you can get a cheap plastic martini shaker from a party store, that way it won't be too heavy to carry on, and if it breaks oh well!!!!

I never thought of getting a cheap plastic one! That is a good idea!! I read earlier about that MAGIC BULLET and just figured I would do it that way. Now, I have choices!!! Just got of the phone with my 25 yo daughter. We have a date for Thurs morning to go to Starbucks and then the liqour store to get an idea of alcohol and prices for our cruise (which isn't til FEB!!!!)!!!! How bad are we??!!!! We have plenty of time for tasting and figuring out what ones we like the best. I will take my little (getting larger every day!!!) list of recipes with me!!!! Hey, :confused3 a woman has to do what a woman has to do!!! We want to do the whole Disney thing in style!!!! :cheer2:

I have never tried banana liqueur  , but I am going apes over these drinks, thats for sure!  Does anyone have that chocolate raspberry martini recipe? Also, has anyone heard of that coffee and cream liqueur that comes in some kind of split bottle? It is called Sheridans coffee liqueur and it is hard to find. Also, do they have the martini tasting AND the wine tasting AND the beer tasting all on the same cruise? We are going on the Feb 25th 7 day Magic cruise. I am really hoping they have the martini tasting because now I am in the mood for tini's. Anybody with me?!!! :rotfl:

Wow...that is funny that you mentioned Sheridan's.....we just bought a bottle (I had never heard of it before) in St. Thomas earlier in the month (we were on a Carnival cruise). It was delicious and I love that really cool bottle!! Onboard they had a liquor sampling and we loved the Sheridan's and another liquor (sp) called Amarula from South Africa...made from the fruit of the Marula or Elephant tree.....that was awesome as well!!!

MJ

Mmouse!!!! I am SOOOOOOOOO glad you are reading this!!! I am trying to find out about that Sheridan's. I have never had it, I just have heard of it. I also heard it is very hard to get a hold of. Do you remember how much it was? Is it good? Can you get it all over on these islands? What about on the ship? I was on a Carnival Cruise with my mom Nov of 2003. I am TRYING to find someone who may have bought the video. We were seen on the video and now that my mom has passed away, I have been frantically trying to get a copy of the 2003 Fantasy Cruise. I KNEW I should have purchased it then and have NO idea why I didn't. Anyway, sorry for all the questions. I just really want to get some of that Sheridans!!! Thanks for letting me know it is STILL out there! Karen
Pooh~ My 25 yr old keeps me feeling young!!! You just may not be able to tell which one of us is the mom and which one is the child when you put us together!!!! 25... what a great age! :Pinkbounc
