It's funny because I swore I wasn't going to spend all my time drinking (especially if I had to buy the drinks...). I did start getting in the carribbean mood however, with the Rum and the fruit drinks. So, I am thinking I will be prepared... I will bring some Rum and if I want to make a few... I can. I will buy the drink of the day so I can try it out, and I am even thinking of trying those nice after dinner drinks each night... but as far as buying drinks all day, that is not happening. The drinks add up and they are not cheap. So, I have all areas covered. It will be fun.

One way to save on drinks is....you do not have to tip. We do give an additional tip and at a dollar a drink this adds up. I told DH to run a tab next time and we will see what happens. They normally will do this if you allow them to keep you room card.

We only get the drink of the day usually. The rest of the time we drink soda. Just thought that I could "treat" our friends that we are cruising with. Plus two weeks on the MAGIC, the drink of the day could even add up!

I went to Super Walmart and Crystal Light and Kool Aid don't have a cranberry and/or pineapple flavor. Then I got to thinking about fruit punch. Wonder if that would go with Malibu rum or Parrot Bay.

The low calorie Barcardi drink sounds interesting. Guess I will have to go check out the liquor store.

Gosh, I started this thread not mentioning wanting the juices for drinks and Jsme caught me. Now look, all of us lushes come out of the woodwork. lol

I am to blame....aren't I? :rotfl:
It has been a fun thread. I love to read it and see what the next person will say.

Anyone out there want to add anything? Any good receipes?

You guys are hilarious. This is a fun thread. Fruit punch or any other tropical type crystal light, malibu/parrot bay and a splash of sprite are yummy, yummy. I guess I need to bring a jug to mix the crystal light?! I haven't really checked into that. Hmmm. Any good ides?

 Can I hear a "Whoo Woo!!!" This IS fun and I have a funny feeling we are all going to have fun getting ready for the cruise and trying out new drinks! :rotfl2: :rotfl2: This thread is JUST what I need after my hard day at work!!! Thanks you guys! You make me smile and laugh!!! :teeth:

So I saw this post and thought "Four pages on a post about juice??" Had to check it out...now I know...

Booze and "magic bullets"

Buncha degenerates...

:rotfl2:

I adore raspberry vodka. I threw this together at home in the midst of an experiment...so no name or exact measures, just to taste.

Raspberry Vodka
Either of these are good: Baileys, Amarula, Chocolate Liqueur
Cream

Shake with ice.

Very yummy for after dinner...or lunch...or while doing the laundry...

I guess since we are on the subject...hahaha.... has anyone ever heard of a coffee liquer that comes in a bottle. I THINK the coffee part is on one side of the bottle and the cream stuff is on the other. It is supposed to be hard to get. I heard you can get it in the Bahamas. It is called Sheridans Coffee Liqueor and it is like a coffee and cream thing... kind of like Baileys I think but the 2 ingredients are split in a unique type bottle. Hope someones knows what I am talking about! PS That Raspberry Vodka is something I MUST try because I love raspberries!! (Good excuse, huh??!!!) :rotfl:

JiminyC_fan - gotcha, just to let you know you will not be allowed to make MY drink unless you bring ME, the bartender. ;)

Another good quick drink to bring on the cruise is orange juice and mango rum!!!!!

Wouldn't you know that I can't hide from my daughter!! :rotfl2: She is the one that gets me started on these yummy fruity drinks. Shhhh, don't tell anyone but she is the alcoholic of the family. :rotfl: :rotfl: With that said, hey Heidi, can I try some of your Parrot Bay downstairs with fruit punch and sprite?? I should have asked that first before I made the alcoholic statement.

I am in a hurry but I can add a recipe next time I post for Bushwackers that we got at St Thomas. So refreshing. Tastes like a milkshake.

Of course you can because I am NICE. I am sure you already tried it even without asking :earboy2: ;) Alcoholic, me?.......nah, I just know whats good!!!

TeaforWendy - you can get Mango rum at any liquor store, I usually buy the Mango Malibu rum, but there are other brands that sell them too. Very easy to find.

just a thought.... could you pick up bottled drinks when you were in port? that way you would not have to bring so much on board intially? :drinking1

That is what I want to do. Buy the liquor in port but I will try to buy the mixes before hand. Not sure what we would find in port.
