Karen - I went to an Aerosmith concert a few years ago, they went on before Kiss. It was a good concert, but was disappointed in Aerosmith....Kiss rocked the stage though!!!

Okay I was looking at this laminated sheet Dane brought home from the liquor store. I'm going to share some toddy recipes first because I remember Karen asking a while back if anyone had any.

Apple Toddy:
Pour 1 1/2 oz apple brandy in a coffee mug. Pour in heated apple cider to fill mug. Garnish with cinnamon stick.

Hot Toddy:
Pour 1 1/2 oz brandy into a coffee mug. Fill with hot tea & add a teaspoon of sugar, stir & garnish with a lemon twist or nutmeg.

These are different then what I grew up with. When I was sick my mom would make hot toddy's with jack daniels, honey & lemon.

I sent in a request this last weekend for a room at the Ron Jon the night before our cruise in July. I got the email back today. It's $255 for one night in a studio. Wow!! That's a little high. Maybe the Radisson. Dane wants a place where he can relax in a lazy river with a drink. Sounds good to me too but I will have to play that one by ear at this point.

Anyone stay at any hotels by the port?

Marcie we always stay at the Rad but we are only there for a night. By the time we check in we are pretty tired. It was raining in September so we did not even go to the bar by the pool. We did go to the lounge and had dinner and drinks. Normally though we go to the pool and chill for a while.

Ron Jons looks nice but there is just no way I would want to spend that much money for one night. By the time you get there you could never enjoy your moneys worth.

I do this alot. I have apple brandy and apple cider most of the time in the winter. I also add some mulling spices to it. Yummy.
However I am on a diet and no cider for me

Selena, if we do get Ron Jons I am going to make sure we take the earliest flight in so we can enjoy the pool or what's the point. Spend all that money to get there late. So we may end up at the Rad. Like I said, Dane has a picture of him floating around the lazy river with a drink in his hand.

It's getting cold here. It's supposed to be in the 20s Thursday morning. Which is very cold for southeast Texas. Maybe I should be thinking of warm drinks. So why can't I get cold drinks out of my head haha. BBCs and I've been in the mood for a mudslide. I'm trying to decided what I should make for new years.

Those toddys sound pretty good right now. It is one degree out with a wind chill of minus 15 and I had the brainy idea of taking Heidi and Chris out for dinner. Call me crazy!!

Marci, when we had the ressies for Ron Jons it was A LOT CHEAPER. They have so much to do that it would have been cool but the hurricane decided for us. Hey, I was just thinking.....hurricanes must follow us.

Sandy and Heidi, I'm sorry to hear about your loss again. You've been through so much recently! I will be keeping you and your friend in my thoughts.

Heidi, I don't understand why your DBF wouldn't be more consoling. My DBF has some issues sometimes (bad temper when his computer doesn't work or when driving usually) luckily, he's really good at being there in a sad or stressful time. I'm glad he apologized (so many times) He knows he was wrong.

Karen, hugs for you. I'm not on too much, due to my schedule, but you can always email me if you need to talk.

Very interesting......my car can read negative temperatures. Something I didn't want to find out, but found out anyway. Driving in to work this morning and it was -4. That is way past darn cold. It is supose to hit 9 degrees today, yay!!!!

Jrsy Boy - how was your walk to the light rail this morning? Are you frozen?

I just found out about 30 minutes ago that I have to go offsite and attend an all day meeting at the Sheraton Hotel....like I don't have anything else to do!!!

Good morning!!!! I am in the warmer state, but my back was hurting a little and my DGD (grandaughter) woke upi miserable, so I put my pj's back in made tea and am climbing back into bed where the heating opad has been on, I will read her a "Mickey Book" and maybe, fall back to sleep!!! Sorry you guys are like popsicles...... Jrsy... you had to walk in this??!! Be careful.

I remember Ron Jon's all up and down the Jersey shore, but didn't realize that they were born there. Where is the original? LBI? Wildwood?

My toes are still cold and I wore my thickest socks and boots. I was bundled, but it was still damn cold. The thermometer at our house read -9 when I left. Luckily, there was no wind.

I am still dragging from being sick during my vacation and going nonstop. Hopefully I can go to bed early tonight. Tomorrow the high is 36 and the low is 36. Sounds pretty cold to me.

Today I been thinking about what kind of spa treatments I want on the next cruise. All those different words confuse me LOL. Like what is the difference between a collagen facial and an oxygen facial.

I got a post card from DCL in the mail today. It says: Hiya Pal, Gosh! It's great to hear that you're coming on a disney cruise. There's a lot of big doin's going on out here! I can't wait to see ya on the ship! See ya real soon! Mickey.

Will it ever be warm again. It was -7 this morning but the high is suppose to be 20 degrees today!!!

Came home yesterday from the stupid meeting in the freezing cold to find out my cold water pipe is frozen in the kitchen (my only outside wall that a sink is connected to.) The hot water still works, and everything in the 3 other bathrooms work, so hopefully the pipe won't burst and that it will thaw out today. I could use some pixie dust!!!!!

Marcie - I want that post card!!!!! How cute, maybe they will send me one when my cruise gets closer!!!

Jrsy Boy - just apologize, cook dinner AND do the dishes and your wife should forgive you.

Pixie dust your way Heidi for the pipes. It sure bothered me last night. I am kicking my rear for not telling you to open your cabinets. I know to do that but a first time buyer wouldn't!!!

I am kicking you too. Oh well, this may be a very expensive lesson learned...we might not be getting that vacuum cleaner as soon as we thought. It may have not even helped with the cabinet doors open since the kitchen doesn't have a register and our house it so freaking cold, hopefully my BIL can fix that today when he comes over.

Next investment after the pipes (please pray they don't burst), and the vacuum cleaner is better blinds that keeps the cold out. I have a HUGE window at the staircase that doesn't have blinds so I am sure I am losing a ton of heat there.......why can't $$$ just grow on trees.

Mom - I am giving dad his GC for the massage tonight as well as the appointment card.

Sadly, even that wouldn't do the trick. She is in what I call "pre" mode - she gets totally nuts about things the week before something big and you just learn to accept it. She was that way pre-cruise and now it is pre-holiday party. She wants everything to be perfect, but unfortunately we (DS & I) can't stop using the house between now and Friday night. Things will be better Saturday morning for about a week until pre-Christmas hits. I'm used to it by now, so I just try to keep my head down and my mouth shut...

Good morning monkeys It's 42 degrees right now and that's the warmest it's supposed to get, we have a cold front making it's way today. The bad thing is at work, we hired this new guy a few weeks ago. His office is across the hall from mine so we share an a/c, heater unit. Well he loves it cold, he says he has to keep climatized so he can hunt. Agghh I love it warm. Anyway, I've been here for 6 1/2 years and our office manager says I have seniority so don't let him walk all over me. I have a window in my office and he doesn't, so my office gets colder then his. Yesterday it was around 50 degrees and it felt cool so I went look at the thermostat and he had turned the a/c down where the a/c would kick on. So I turned it all the way up over 80. At least I have a little space heater in my office. If I tell him not to turn the a/c on he tells me he is sweating and I should wear more clothes. And he's only been here a few weeks. I can really see this guy driving me absolutely batty during tax season.

I ordered Aerial a game from best buy online in October that was due to be out on Dec 7TH (yesterday). It's Animal Crossing for Nintendo DS. It's a very cool game. Anyway, this morning I have an email from best buy saying the game is backordered, and I ordered it in October!!!! It must really be a must have. So, I got on game stop and it didn't say that it was backordered so I ordered it there too. Hopefully soon I will get an email from gamestop so I can see if I need to cancel the order from best buy. I hope I didn't mess up and get stuck with 2 games but I'm sure I can return one. I just really wanted to give her this game. So we shall see.

It's almost the weekend.
