No, just chunks of the building flying off (did I mention I work in an old building ) Everytime it gets windy, they close down the lobby because chunks of the building get blown off and they don't want anyone to be knocked unconscience!

Sandy....question....tell me about the airborne stuff again. How do you use it? I have Emergen-C that I take. I wonder if the airborne is better or if it is about the same stuff.

Games for trips. Good one. I have no clue. I am dreading the 3+ hour trip on Sunday. I am not good at flights more than 2 hours. I thought of bringing my laptop just to watch a movie.

MacKenzie loved working last night!!! The owner must like her so far because he had her on phone duty before they opened. lol The owner is Greek and they were blessing the restaruant and the phone started ringing. He asked her to be on phone duty until the blessing was over. She said she had already had the water thrown in her face.

She was so thrilled when she came home. She was beaming. Of course she already had stories to tell me. Last night was their friends and family opening and it was all free. Jeff and I went prepared to pay. Oh man the Salmon entree was out of this world. One of the best Salmon dishes I have ever ate! Jeff had oysters. He shared with me and they were good as well.

She works Wednesday 5-9, Saturady 2:45 until they let her go home and Sunday 12:30 until.

I am such a wonderful mom. lol She came home and said I have to have comfortable shoes. lol Her feet were killing her. I told her and to think you have only been there one day. I also told her she probably made $12. Aren't I awful?

I have it figured she will make a little less than $100 this week. She is paid bi-weekly.

Selena - I am not kidding! We have a large sign on the outside of the building that lights up when there is wind that states do not go on the lobby level. They lock all doors on that level so no one can get in or out when it is windy.

That is great MacKenzie is excited for her job! How fun to be able to go and watch her work and not pay for the meal!

Selena, I love that Mac is already telling stories. That means she likes it! She sure come home and complain instead! Sounds like an upscale restaurant if it serves oysters. Airborne, we take it right before getting on the plane and then one before bed that day. Also before boarding we use a saline solution in our nose. I was told that the bacteria can't adhere itself to the nose as easy that way. Quite honestly I don't know which one is better.

I don't want to take our laptop when we go out of the country. I have read horror stories about customs ON THIS SIDE taking laptops. They say that they don't need a reason and it happens a lot. I just don't want to risk it for entertainment. Chances could be slim but I don't want to risk it. I am not a gambler.

I am not sure if any of you guys have a TGIFriday restaruant or not but they are lethal. We normally go on Friday's and the bartender now knows us. They have free appts M-F from 4-7. As I said we normally go on Friday's for the $3 wine and $2.50 bottles and free wings. Tonight we took Mac shopping and we stopped in for dinner. They had $2.50 Long Islands and the free appt was the Queso's. We ate then shopped then came back for another drink for the road. As Mac says we now have a bartender that knows us. When we walked in tonight he said to us, it is not Friday!

TGIFriday's will email you coupons. We used one last night. It was buy an entree and get for $1. I also have a coupon for a free appt when you buy a drink in the bar and another one that is buy one appt and get second for a penny.

I would assume they have specials at all of their locations but you can always call and ask.

We took Mac shopping yesterday and stopped in there. They had chicken quesos for their free appts at the bar. I could have just ate the queso but the waitress that does the free appts was too busy talking and flirting than taking care of the other customers. Needless to say we did not tip her last night as we normally do. Last night was well drinks, margarita's and Long Islands for $2.50. Needless to say my sweet hubby is nursing a hangover this morning. Emergen-C to the rescue. lol

I have looked at those before. They are really neat. I might have to order Mac some for her 16th birthday!!

Can ideas for her sweet 16 birthday? She really is not getting much since we have bought her a car and she got a new cell phone yesterday. I do have a pedi appt for her birthday. I have her a mardi gras type bead necklace that says Happy Sweet 16. I am also going to document her 16th year in pictures and make her a photo book next year for her birthday. This way she will have her 16 year in pictures. Any other ideas? She wants a tiara. I have to pick one up at Claire's sometime in the next month.

Yes, I've talked to my boo. We've talked everyday this week and he invited me over to his house Friday night. He's cooking for me and having wine. This is becoming my longest relationship since my divorce. A whole 2 weekends. I am just a little stressed about going all the way to his house (about 45 minutes away) and working all day Saturday, but I'll get over it. A man is cooking for ME.
