Remember it is the junior size not the small. I can not eat much cold stuff and the junior size is perfect for me.

Have you tried the 0 point soups by Progresso? They are good.

The Junior size is perfect for me too, I always waste half of the small. I have tried the soups before and they are good. I also like the Campbells Healthy Harvest low sodium (I think that is the name!)

BTW I have a date tomorrow night! I am excited, mutual friends Shanna & her husband set us up. Shanna is singing on the patio of a seafood restaurant tomorrow night so that's where our date is.

I have been racking my brain on how to keep in touch with the kids without having a huge resort bill or cell bill. I think I have come up with a plan! We put our cell phones on our AIM. Since we are staying in upgraded rooms we have free internet. I can sign on my AIM account and send Mac an IM and she will get it as a text on her cell phone.

MacKenzie has a job!!!!!!

We were leaving today to meet my dad. He is having a tires and doing a few things to her new car for us and the place she interviewed with a few weeks back called her. lol She had no clue she had the job but the called today and asked her if she can make a staff meeting tomorrow. I am figuring this means she is hired. Which is perfect since her insurance is going to fun her $120 a month.

MacKenzie's staff meeting lasted 2.5 hours. They are having a test run tomorrow for family to come and eat. Did I mention she is working at a new restaruant as a hostess? Anyway, we will be eating there tomorrow. She works tomorrow, Wednesday and Friday that we know of for now. I am so excited for her. I can not believe my baby has a job, much less that she will be 16 in a few weeks.

Selena, great news! I think that Mac will love working. Stacey and Heidi didn't seem to mind. What restaurant? Any one that we might have here? I am happy that you can keep in touch with the family. I think you will be much more relaxed now. I certainly didn't understand how. Glad you guys have it worked out!

The restaruant is a seafood steakhouse place. No it is more locally owned. I think there are a few in NC but not else where.

She is really excited about the job. She is on probation for 6 weeks and can be fired for any reason. The owner is Greek and we already know he can be rather tough on his employees. She has to be at work 10 minutes early every day she works. I told her she needs to be at work more like 20 to 25 minutes early. If she is kept on after the 6 weeks she will get a slight pay increase. Mac is such a pleaser it would be hard for me to see her doing anything besides being late to upset her bosses.

She has to wear black, navy or khaki pants and a nice shirt. She only has one pair of khaki pants. I told her I would take her shopping this week for more pants. I think she probably has enough tops to do for now. Since it is a casual place she does not have to be too dressy. She did wear a nice pair of brown pants this afternoon and the owner told her not to wear them again.

Selena, While I am glad that Mac has a job this guy sounds kind of scary to me. Sounds very hard to please. Seafood and steak place? YUMMY! Do you get a discount? LOL We went to a couple trial runs in new restaurants and they both were great experiences.

Selena - that is great Mac got the job. Her boss seems a little rough, but hopefully after he sees her good work ethic, he will lay off and let her do her job! I didn't know if you used AIM on your cell that it would send a text, that is pretty cool!

I had a great time! I drank this drink called Swamp Thang. It was potent. Then yesterday the couple that set us up had a crawfish boil and he called and asked me to go. So, I saw him Sat & Sunday.

Heidi, you have to change your setting on AIM and add a mobile number. You also have to make sure your settings are available for offline IM's. Once that is done I can sign on my aol mail and go to AIM which is offered on the side of your mailbox. I can then send her an IM that will go thru as a text on her cell phone. Since I have the international cell plan on my cell phone I can receive free texts when out of the country but I can not send a text from out of the country. I just thought if this would work we will not have another time frame where I can not get in touch with my children. We had this happen in November on the cruise. It was awful. I kept on thinking that if anything serious were to happen my parents would get me one way or another. We normally do not go for more than 3 or 4 days. That crusie/vacation was 10 days.

As far as MacKenzie's boss....and job goes....

MacKenzie comes across very well. I have had a lot of people tell me she is very mature for her age. She holds herself well too. MacKenzie takes drama in school and loves it. When she was interviewed this was something the owner picked up on. He told her that even if she feels bad since she likes to act she should be able to act happy when working. lol

I honestly can not imagine her doing anything to get fired. She is such a pleaser. The only thing I could see happeninig is her going into work late. However, NC is employment at will. You can be fired for any reason what so ever.
