Cranberry or Pineapple??

We woke up at 5 am. We took our showers and then headed down for the free breakfast buffet. Amazing coffee!!! The breakfast was very nice. The pineapple was great. I had a breakfast burrito and some bacon with fruit. Two cups of coffee and OJ.

After breakfast we went back to the room but as usual I was bored. I ran back to the internet cafe and spend 30 minutes attempting to post 3 times. Yikes. Very slow posting.

After I ran back up and we packed up and went on to the next hotel. We stayed at the Queen Mary in Long Beach. I called them and they said they currently had about 5 rooms so we hurried on to the hotel. We were given a wonder deluxe room. I have to say that the QM have various rooms they classify as Deluxe rooms. They are all shapes and sizes and we lucked out and got the biggest room layout.

After checking in we headed on the free bus to Long Beach Shoreline. We walked around and then had lunch at PF Chang. It was awesome. Had a glass of wine with my lunch. Oops it was only 11 am. OH well my internal clock told me it was 2 pm verses 11 am. lol Then we headed on to downtown long beach and bought wine for the cruise.

It was a lot of fun walking around the shoreline village and downtown. I felt very safe the entire time. It was also neat to see so many people dressed for Halloween. Where I live very few actually dress up.

We had a lot of texting coming in to us since a few were already there waiting us to return to the QM.

Around 2 we headed back to the QM. It was wonderful to see Chirs and Kevin and Reggie. I had not seen Chris and Kevin since the Freedom of the Seas 2 years before.

We settled her room and then headed up for drinks at the Observance Bar. We stayed there too long and wound up just roaming around the ship very little and having dinner with Reggie (our TA) at the Promenade Cafe. We had Mahi Mahi Tacos, New England Clam Chowder and Potato Skins. We shared it and it was plenty for both of us.

I think we were in bed by 10 pm. lol At least it was later than the night before.

We woke up and took our shower and went out and about about 6 am. We found coffee but it was not good. OH well. We met up with Reggie and met John. John is 86 and has a scooter. Oh man I loved that scooter.

We did a Sunseekers Tour and met him at 8:30. Two others from the QM went on the tour along with some others from another hotel.

The tour was nice but for the first time in my life I was car sick. I did not know about it or figure until an hour after the tour was over and I felt awesome. As I said the tour was nice but then again being car sick it will be hard for me to be objective. I became ill by 9. At first we toured downtown and ole town LA. Then we headed out to 2 studios. We stopped at Universal and bought a diet coke. Which only made it worse. lol Do not get me wrong I still had a good time but was battling the car sickness. Honestly I do not remember where we went from there but we did stop to see the star walk of fame and tour a bit of that. Then a little more touring to some hill side to see the Hollywood sign and then on to Mel's Dinner. We got there around 11:30 and we had to wait about 30 minutes for anyone to take our order. BUT we were lucky we were able to get a sit as soon as we walked in the dinner. By the time someone came around I was feeling good enough to eat and I ordered one of the best hamburgers I have ever ate in my life. I forget the name of it but it had avacado, lettuce, tomato and pickles on the hamburger with spicy cheese. I guess with the cheeseburger. lol Jeff ordered a different one and it was just as tasty. He also ordered a milk shake. OMG it was awesome. I am not one for milkshakes but it was awesome and I would have ordered myself one but I did not have the time to order one.

After this we saw 77 star's houses. Or as Jeff puts it we saw 77 gates and roofs. lol We did get a good tour of Brentwood and Beverly Hills. In the end we went to the beaches and it started raining. Our tour guide took us on the Pacific Coast HIghway home.

Over all I am glad we did this tour, we had a wonderfully informative tour guide. However, he was a bit more into the houses than I was. lol I would not do another tour but then again why should I when I have done one and seen almost everything. Next time I would love some extra time in Long Beach and would love to go to Disneyland.

We came back at 4:30 and instantly meet almost everyone at the Observance Bar. It was so nice seeing everyone. I loved seeing my old freinds and I loved meeting all the new ones. I have to say this group was awesome and included wonderful people.

Susan, Bonnie and I fixed the goodie bags in my room.

We ate at the Observation Bar for dinner...hot wings. Very tasty and then we headed on to meet a few more for pre party drinks in the piano bar area.

After we had the pre sailaway party. Our TA gave us a party in which he had drinks and snacks. It was very fun. A lot of people came and even some that live in LA that were not going on the cruise. They are from the board in which our group thread is located. I gave out the goodie bags at the party. Everyone loved them. I also had put a packet together for everyone that included the schedule, coupons, directions to Krystals Hotel in PV and door signs.

Jeff went on to bed around midnight. We were so loud at the party, which had to be held in someone's room that we had security come by a couple of times. OOPs.

OK this takes you from Thursday, October 30- Saturday, November 1.

I will try to do more tomorrow.

No time to read right now, but welcome back Selena. Good to see you Lulu!

I will try to catch up tomorrow. Gotta get Jacob to Tae Kwan Do

Lulu, your wedding plans sound so beautiful. I can't wait to see pictures of the real thing!

Selena, I am so happy you are back. I really, really missed you. Love the trip report but mostly love the picture of you. You are so petite and pretty.

Marcie, I agree with Heidi. I think I like the bed without the canopy.

We went to Steamboat Springs today. Absolutely loved it. The snow came in and created such a beautiful day. Ted decided to drive back a different way and ended up going on Rabbit Ears Pass that was requiring chains on semi's. It was a big gorgeous storm. Didn't realize that we were going on the pass. No regrets. Got beautiful pictures.

Tomorrow will be Glenwood Springs for a swim in the hot springs pool. Just learned that the natural water runs 122 degrees so they have to add cold water to reduce the temperature. It is an outside pool so it should be fun. They have water slides so I hope that they will be open for TED not me. No way, Jose! Then maybe Aspen at the end of the day. It is only forty miles from there. Our camera's battery died when we were there so we would like to go back. Vacation is coming to an end and I am sorry for that. It has been such a wonderful time spending a week in Colorado and seeing the beauty that we have here. We don't have to cruise or fly to Mexico to see beauty!

Yay Selena is back!!!!!!! Sounds like you had a great trip. I totally know how you feel about being car sick, I get car sick very easily and it is so miserable. The QM looks beautiful. Can't wait to see more pictures!!!! Too funny about the gates and roof tour.

TGIF~~~It's a snowy morning here. We got a dusting of snow. First snow of the season for Denver today.

Selena, love the story about security being called because of your party. Oops!

No snow here but it sounds like Denver's roads are icy. I think our drive home tomorrow should be fine.

Yesterday we ran up to Aspen again for better pictures. The weather was perfect. Our pictures are fantastiic. Then we went swimming for 4 hours at an outdoor hot springs pool.

Happy Sunday. Hope everyone had a great weekend. Now that my parents are home I can share with you a new addition to our household.

This is Chris's truck. We put so much money into his car and I was so tired of repairing the same thing for it to break in another month. So since my car is paid off now, it took the place of my car payments. We love it! We bought it on Veteran's Day. It us a 2009 Nissan Titan. We got it for the price of a 2008 because they really wanted a sale and couldn't find a 2008 with the stuff we wanted. Chris drives it around the block every day just to get to drive it.

Great truck. You can always you a truck.

I will try to work on the report more this week. I have been battling a horrible cold.

Love to all
