I have to say I am feeling a bit sorry for myself today. I keep on trying to keep in my mind that I am very lucky. I could be in the situation Marcie is in. I have a cold , I feel like crap and I have to be the head of the family...goodness I miss Jeff!!! I do not know why because he is not the type to take care of me when I am sick. OK, I am going to go wipe my tears and put my big girl panties on.

Oh sweetie, I'm sorry you are not feeling well. Hang in there and get to feeling better. We all have those days and you deserve it, it would be hard to do it all by yourself, especially when you are not feeling well.

Jrsy - have a great few days off, hope you get some great pictures. We expect you to post those pictures when you get back!

Marcie - we love you!!!!! I'm sorry you lost power again.

Cristi - how is your new car doing? I bet Rachel and Jacob love it!

We just got back from Elitch's. We went with the girl scout troop to try to use up the rest of the money in our account since our troop is disbanding. The morning was really nice, hardly any lines. It wasn't too bad after lunch either. The longest line we were in today was Subway for lunch (and it took FOREVER).

I thought I posted yesterday. Hmmm I guess I just read.

I feel a little better today then I did yesterday. I actually feel like going to work. Where as yesterday I went but did not feel like it.

I did sleep last night so that is a plus but I feel like I could go back to sleep right now.

Jeff is moving to South Houston today. At a hotel Druy (sp). It looks ok but wish he could have stayed at a Hilton brand hotel. We were given over 4500 points for the one night stay Friday night.

OK I am off to take the child to school because one is sick and is staying then I am off.

We worked yesterday without power until noon, cleaning up. Today we got power around 10 and internet. So, I'll be working full time now. Trying to finish my management class too, which I am behind in and finish cleaning my house. I still don't have much in my refrigerator. Guess I'll be busy for a while.

Thank you. Aerial goes back to school on Thursday. Everything is not open yet but slowly getting there. The curfew was lifted today that was nice. It's just so sad, for everyone who lost so much.

I'm okay, but yes the postal service is working.

When I left work today the restorative people were there and they did some kind of test on the walls and the walls are soaked with water. I am not sure what is going to happen but that is not good. My boss owns some land and has been thinking of building for a while so it may be closer then we thought.

Marcie it is so good to know you have power again. I am sure it will help having Aeriel at school. Things need to get as much back to normal as possible.

Thanks for the pictures. That poor liquor store. I am surprised no one has stolen the liquor yet.

Jeff moved from Houston (near some airport) to South Houston today. He said it took him 2 hours to drive 16 miles this evening. He was also warned that he probably does not need to go out after dark at the new hotel. There is a bit of a problem with that considering he will not get off until dark When he checked in about everyone else was there and he scored a suite. It was the luck of the draw on him getting the suite. He said he has the party room.

I have hardly talked to him since he left. Believe it or not but the hours difference is screwing with that. He is not getting off until 7 then he has to drive to the hotel. Then eat and there is no time to call me because I am in bed. Tomorrow I am hoping will be better because now he is based in the hotel and will only leave for appointments. He does have 2 appointments tomorrow. I did not ask how late they were so hopefully he was able to make the early and will be in before dark.

I am feeling better. I felt really good all day but the last hour I have felt rotten. Poor Erik is now vomitting. I think it has to do with he is hardly eating anything and the meds are upsetting his stomach. I am making him eat now and I told him he will go to school tomorrow. Now I pray he can stay there and I do not have to pick him up.

Marcie - wow, those pictures definitely put things into perspective. Glad Aerial is going to be able to get back to school.

Selena - Poor E. That is so sad that you can't talk to Jeff because of the hours, I know I would be upset if I didn't talk to Chris at least one time during the day.

We didn't go to the mountains; Tammy and I just did a hike at Mt. Falcon Park in Jefferson County yesterday while Alex was in school. I do have a ton of photos that I'd planned to upload today at lunch, but I forgot that I have a presentation to attend so I'm not sure when I'll have something ready to share. I don't think we saw a single aspen in Mt. Falcon Park, so not as much fall color as I'd expected. A friend of mine summited Mt. Princeton this weekend and there were tons of golden aspen around there.

I'm sending pics of Ike in email to all of you. It's power point so I hope you can view. In a couple of pics you see 1 lonely yellow house at the beach, the only that survived the area. They were on the news last night. That is one of the beaches I go to on the weekends. Very sad.
