Guess what, I may be going to Las Vegas in August. A friend of mine I met here on the Dis invited me to go to her girls weekend. Everyone splits the hotel room and stuff so it won't cost a whole lot. I have never been to Vegas, I am excited.

I had the best weekend I've had in a long time. Well except the awful hangover part.

Saturday night was my date. This was our 2nd date and he wants to see me again next weekend. Not sure if I've mentioned him before. He's an auditor in downtown Houston and he's testing for his CPA exam within the next year. He's really nice and seems to really like me. Another plus is, my overprotective friends are liking what they see so far.

Yesterday we went canoing. I am really sore today but had so much fun. It was my friend Lauren's birthday on top of Mother's day so we brought a cake with us, sandwiches and spent the whole afternoon on the river.

Marcie - sounds like a fun weekend. I can't remember the last time I have had a hangover, thankfully!!! But I am guessing the next time will be this weekend with my bachelorette party. I am going to miss my girls weekend in Vegas this year, but I guess 15 days on the ship will make up for it!

Buy VIP tickets on Ebay for the clubs. Also you HAVE to go to the Palms pool party on Ditch Friday (also buy VIP tickets on Ebay). Pool Party at Hard Rock. I actually have some VIP tickets left that I will send you that we didn't use on our last trip. If you want some cool clubs to go to I can tell you about some.

I have to vote on a hotel out of NYNY, Excalibur, and Treasure Island. Who knows anything about them?

I have stayed at NYNY and Excalibur. Definitely do not do Excalibur, I did not like it at all and the pool sucks and it is way down the strip!! With NYNY, depending on where your room is at, you may hear the roller coaster and people screaming which gets annoying, but they do have Coyote Ugly bar inside NYNY! Treasure Island looks cool but I have never stayed there. The casino is cool and their pirate show is corny but fun to watch once at night. If you are going to go to the bars and clubs at night, I would probably choose Treasure Island because you would be closer to the center of the strip and more is happening near the center strip at night and I like the clubs better at that end. Just my personal experience and preference. My friend and I like to stay at Planet Hollywood.
