Cranberry or Pineapple??

I go on Wednesday to have my hair highlighted. Blonde on Blonde. I have to hide the gray and since I am a blonde already it looks good to go a couple of shades lighter, it makes my hair look like I have been in the sun for a while.

Wow we have been busy this weekend but I really feel like we have accomplished a lot and I feel good.

We woke earlier yesterday and ran a couple of errands, came home and I fixed breakfast. Jeff then worked in the garden (he had to have one) and I cleaned up the kitchen and really deep cleaned my bedroom. I was hoping that would help with allergies. Allergies are killing all of us this year. Not sure if anyone saw the Top 10 Cities for allergies but I live about 15 minutes from #2 on the list (Greensboro) and Charlottle was on there as well, I just forget the number and I am an hour from Charlotte.

After cleaning we ran more errands and came home and worked a while longer in the yard and drained and refilled the Hot Tub. I worked on the laundry and more cleaning. The kids went out to eat with my IL's and we had ribs (not on WW). lol We watched TV and relaxed.

Today, since Jeff complained that I did not wake him up correctly, mmm, I woke him up and then fixed him some breakfast. I cleaned up the mess and folded the laundry in the dryer and washed a lot. We then ran to the grocery store.

We came home, unloaded groceries and then washed my nasty nasty car. It looks so good and clean. It also smells much better. I have a 6 year old Honda Accord EX. I want it to last me another 10 years. I know that sounds like a long time but I am going to dry it into the ground. lol I hate car payments!! I fixed us lunch then I got on the puter for a while. Jeff decided the HT was ready so we had a nice soak for a bit. After we made Limoncello. I found a good recipe and we are making our own. I am addicted to the stuff at the Liquior store and it tastes like cough syrup. lol I decided to make my own. You take the peel from the lemons and 100 proof liquor. We used Everclear and let it sit for 7-10 days. You can do it more. Then you make a simple syrup and let it sit some more. I am so excited. BUT I had 10 lemons to do something with. I got on the computer and found a recipe for Lemon Simple Syrup. lol I do believe I am going to have a Lemondrop Martini very soon. lol

It was a busy weekend this weekend. Not much time to rest. I almost killed Chris on Friday night. He went out with his work buddies after he turned in everything for Happy Hour. Then they decided to come to a bar close to home that he wanted me to meet him at. So I did. We got home at midnight and Chris was completely drunk. Well I took the dog out and he thought it was funny and pretended to lock the front door and was giggling through the window and then went upstairs to bed. Turns out he really did lock the door on me and he doesn't even remember. Thankfully we have the keyless entry on the garage door, so I had to walk around our complex with the dog (not on a leash because it was 12:30) to get in. Once I got in he was saying my name repeatedly and asking me where I was. Let's just say he was completely hurting the next day.

I have a sunburn in the oddest places, the backs of my knees, one hand, just various places on my chest. I think I need lessons on how to apply sunscreen. I obviously missed some spots.

Limoncello is very good. I can not wait to try what we have made. I am sure I will instantly start another batch. Most of the recipes call for the same ingredients just different liquor and a different amount of lemons. Then the next difference is the amount of time you let the mix sit and the amount of time you let the next step sit.

Since I am so pale and pasty I always have weird spots that are burnt. I try to remember to go ahead and apply my sunscreen prior to getting dressed in the mornings when I am going to be out in the sun. It helps to not miss a spot.

You are getting your daughters mixed up, that was STACEY that did that. She always manages to do that at least two times a summer. I have no idea how she always gets a burned handprint on her, but every year she gets it.

Jrsy I have a very stubborn son that thinks he knows everything. Last summer he would not listen to me when we were at the beach and he refused to put sunscreen on his legs and feet. I finally let him go out and get burnt. I think it was a painful lesson for him to learn but I do believe the lesson sunk in.

It is fun to keep a watch on the peels and the Everclear. The liquid is now the color of the peels.

We talked to Lowes today about the carpet. They made note of it and told us to give it another 2 weeks. Doesn't sound promising. What next???????

Wow, it really does take the color from the peel.

Yes it does and the peels turn white. The peels in my container are almost white. On the recipe it tells you that once they have sit for the time period the peels are no longer pliable.
