Marcie - sounds like a lot of fun and a lot of catching up to do! Something to look forward to!!

I don't keep in touch with anyone from High School or college.
 
She is the only one I do keep in touch with.
 
Marcie, I wish I was you. I am so happy for you to have the opportunity to see her even if for a short time. I lost my best friend from HS and I can't find her. It's a very long story but what I would do to hug her. I send Christmas cards to another friend from HS and she was my college roommate.
 
I totally messed up my diet. :confused3 But, it's okay I will be back on it today. It was bad enough, I drank all my flex points away, but then we had to stop outside the bar and buy a link from the little stand outside the bars. I guess it tasted good because we went back and got a second one. :lmao: :confused3 :scared1: I gained a 1/2 a pound.
 

Marcie, confession here. I was horrible on Friday. I am trying very hard to get back on track. Tomorrow is weigh in for me.
 
I actually ate good for the first time yesterday. For breakfast I had Cheerios, for lunch I had veggies, for dinner I ate off a small plate and had BBQ chicken, corn, and a little tiny bit of pasta.

I've done good enough today to even get a snack. But, Sundays are usually easy, it's the work week that gets me.

I am the complete opposite, it is the weekends that get me. The work week is so easy for me to stay on track and drink all my water.

Hey everyone.

Mom's surgery went well last Monday. Remember I was off all last week. I am back at work today but I am waiting to see if they are going to release her. If so, I will have to leave and pick her up.

My mom is the type of person who gets depressed and she has been very depressed the last 2 days. I am dreading for her to go home because she will be by herself with no one to help her. She will get even more depressed. OK, this next statement is going to sound bad but I do NOT mean it that way. Mom will get depressed and call me and make me feel so guilty. I am dreading it. I live too far away to visit her daily. I had some things to do this weekend but I know we will have to visit. I do not want to because I have a hard time taking her guilt.

I know Erik will be going up for a visit to mow her yard this weekend. I am hoping that will help.
 
Selena - glad your mom's surgery went well. Does your mom have a pet? Can she take care of a pet so she won't be alone and maybe not get so depressed? Is her recovery going well?
 
Selena, you know I can totally understand you. My Mom has been having all kinds of health problems and I don't mean to sound mean but I am glad she lives by our whole family. So, she is not alone and I don't have to deal with her negatism. When she came a month or two ago, she argued with EVERYTHING. I finally point blank asked her why she HAD to argue with everything said. Now that Dane is gone, and my Mom lives away I am just not used to that much negativity. I can't take it anymore. That would a definite deal breaker for any new relationships I enter.
 
No Mom does not have a pet and there is no way she would ever want one but I see that this would be good company for her.

Her recovery is doing well. She was in ICU for one day and now in a regular room and doing her therapy in that room. She does have good feelings towards this doctor so I know she will do better on her recovery simply because she trusts him.

Marcie I knew you would understand how I meant what I typed. I love my mom but it is very hard to be around her any length of time. She also loves the attention when she is not feeling well and then when it stops that is when she normally gets depressed.

Heidi, are you going to give WW a go? I am going to get a slide to help me with my points. I am so glad Jeff agreed to do WW again. I have only ate 5 points all day and I have ate great. 2 point fruit for breakfast, 0 point soup with a salad for lunch. I might have only had 4 points but I thought I would go high on the dressing I used. I am having chicken, veggie and salad for dinner. I will probably have a snack this afternoon. I am looking at 13 points total for the day. Of course it is not healthy to go too low. I am going to have to figure out something else to add to dinner. I might stop by and grab a small sweet potato.
 
Selena, I more than understand about your mom and calling you. We went throught that with our friend that passed away a year ago. They just don't understand that you still have your own responsibilities. Glad she is doing so well.

Breakfast - light yogurt, 1 saltine cracker with small amount of low sodium peanut butter.

Lunch - salad: iceberg lettuce, carrots, cucumbers, with spray dressing.

Snack - low fat cottage cheese

Dinner -roast with carrots, onions, potatoes (on a small plate) and a salad.

Tonight - 1 hour of kickboxing
 
LA Weight Loss is having a fun next two weeks. One of the things is to wear a pedometer to see how many steps you take. So far today only 3411. I will never get to 10,000 in one day. NEVER!

Tammy wore hers on our first trip to WDW. I think the thing almost overheated. It is amazing when you figure out how many miles you actually walk on a daily basis there.

Lunch: Lean Cuisine Salsbury steak & Mac & Cheese 5 points
Coffee 3 cups with a little coffee mate: from what I put in the point calulator i am using about 1 point per cup in coffee mate, so I just say 4 points

No snack, lots of water, tonight I am making teriyaki chicken, carrots, birds eye mixed veggies. 7 points

Leaving me 2 points for a drink or snack.

Funny thing, mine just quit. Jeez I wonder how many steps I really did take today that it didn't register.

Coffee Mate?!? :scared1: If you haven't before, read the ingredients on that stuff. It is mostly oil; hydrogenated oil at that, which means it is a little cup of trans fat.

Breakfast-I would up having 1/2 Cwhite grapes (1 Cup is only 1 point)
Lunch-Salad 3 pts and the 0 Point soup
Dinner-3 pieces of grilled chicken tenders (4 points), 3 Tablespoons of corn with 2 sprays of margarine (1 point) and small baked sweet potato with a dash of cinnamon and sugar and 3 sprays of margaine ( 3 points) and two 2 point rice crispy treats. Total 15.5 points. Heck I might have to eat something else!!
