We have to leave in about 45 minutes to go for my LASIK surgery. I am a little nervous. My stomach has started doing flip flops and my hand is tingling. Hopefully they give me the Valium as soon as I get there. :)

Cristi you will be so glad you decided to do this. I hope all goes well for you. They gave me a Valium and I kept on telling Jeff this drug is not working. He kept on saying back to me, yes it is. lol:rotfl2:

My eyes burnt like some one had taken a mixture of sand and hot sauce and rubbed into my eyes. But after 2 days I was a little better. It was fun being at home by myself and not being able to open my eyes due to that feeling. I learned how hard my walls are and how hard my head and toes happen to be.

Heidi I have my room booked now but not the air. My friend is holding off and we have decided to chose a flight that we can meet at our layover city. I am impatient and ready to book. She wants to wait. Waiting has already cost me $75. I do not want to wait much longer.

Cristi - You will do great. Keep us updated. Pixie Dust to you for a speedy recovery.

Selena - I am bad at waiting, especially when I see the price go up...but usually I force myself to wait and the price goes back down. When we went to Orlando last September the prices was $225 and then went up to $350-$396, but slowly (talking months) dropped back down to $200.

Good Luck!!! My dh had it done a couple of years ago -- he hated wearling glasses/comtacts.

Hi guys, my nails are wet so this will be short. I am trying to type with just a couple of fingers.

Steph, how funny! Maybe we could actually meet on the ship and not the airport!:lmao:

Cristi, I am jealous. I think I would really like lasik surgery. I would really have to consider monovision but not sure that I could handle it.

Jrsy, just so you know, my bags are packed and ready to go with you guys! OH-OH!! Cosmo is helping Tammy celebrate her birthday?! We all know how Cosmo gets around her! :rotfl: :rotfl:

Hi everyone!

Tax season is going okay. I was very busy yesterday and worked through lunch. I think I'm going to go ahead and think that way today and bring my lunch. Just about over my cold, still taking medicine at night but that's it.

I hope Cristi is doing good. I really want to have that done. I might look into it after tax season.

Wow, really close now Jrsy. Tammy must be an Aqaurius like me!

Off to work.

Yay, I can finally file my taxes. I was waiting on my mortgage company and that arrived yesterday!!! Now I have to go to my sister and she is so nice and does them for me. I pay her for half of the program and then she gets it done!!!!

Hoping Cristi is recovering well. Can't wait to see what she says.

Jrsy - one day closer!!!!

We got something in the mail from DCL about them cruising to the Mexican Riviera and Chris is really interested in it. Maybe we can do the 15 night Repo for our Honeymoon with a few days in DL and a few days at DCL.

Her birthday was actually back on December 26 but you can imagine the logistical nightmare of having a birthday party so close to Christmas. So she is a Capricorn.

Cosmo has been hanging out with Benny, Alex's Bengal Tiger.

Hi guys, I'm back and I can see! Everything went well. I was still pretty nervous though even with the adivan. They give you this stuffed dog to hold on to during the surgery so your hands have something to do. I was twisting poor Bowzer pretty good. :) DH got to watch the surgery from just outside room. He said it was pretty bizarre. The thing I wasn't expecting was the slight burning smell of the laser. That kind of freaked me out a little. We got home about 12:45 yesteday, I had a sandwich with my eyes closed and then slept until almost 5 pm. Even after that when I was up I kept my eyes closed a lot or squinted my way around. My eyes felt better with them closed. My left eye in particular had a very sandy, slightly burning sensation. This morning it is pretty much gone, although my right eye seemed to have the sandy feeling when I first got up. I have to leave in about 30 minutes to go for my first post-op appointment. I have these cool shades to wear in the sun. :cool2:

Oh yeah, I have had this weird metallic taste in the back of my mouth, do you think it is from the adivan?

I think I still want to have it done. I'm really thinking about doing it with my summer bonus. The thing I'm scaredest of, don't think I'm weird, is moving around during the procedure. You didn't have the urge to move your head. Geez what if they miss. Keep us updated, how long it hurts and if your eyes stay dry, halo's at night. I'm glad you made it through. :goodvibes Right now my right eye has been all red for the second day and I'm afriad I have another eye infection, which means no contacts for a week again if it is. :confused3

Yay Cristi posted. Glad you are doing so good. I would be scared to death!!! My eyes are not that bad, but I do have night blindess. I only wear my glasses when I am driving but if they get worse, I would consider the procedure.

Marcie - I would be afraid too of sitting still. I can't sit still for very long, even watching TV I move around a lot!!!!

Guess what just arrived!

:cool1: :cool1: Yeah Jrsy!!! :cool1: :cool1:

I didn't mean to scare anyone off. Noone else has ever mentioned the smell to me before so maybe it doesn't happen to everyone ( I have a very sensitive nose). I was really afraid of moving during the procedure too, but it would have been really hard to do so. You are in the chair/table, kind of like the dentist and your head has this pillow thing around it so you really can't move it. Then they put this heavy blanket over your body and arms so you can't lift them up either. It didn't last very long at all and the surgeon talked me through each step.

I went in for my 1 day post op today and drove myself!!!! He said everything is healing very well and that I was doing great since I was already at 20/20. He said it will only get better from here. It is pretty amazing.

Wow that is awesome Crisit!!!!!

Jrsy I'll do the doc dance with ya.  :dancer: party:

I'll join in the doc dance for Jrsy. :cool1:  :dance3: :cheer2:

Cristi - that is awesome!!! Already 20/20 and it can only get better, WOW.:woohoo:
