Hi guys, I'm back and I can see! Everything went well. I was still pretty nervous though even with the adivan. They give you this stuffed dog to hold on to during the surgery so your hands have something to do. I was twisting poor Bowzer pretty good.

DH got to watch the surgery from just outside room. He said it was pretty bizarre. The thing I wasn't expecting was the slight burning smell of the laser.

That kind of freaked me out a little. We got home about 12:45 yesteday, I had a sandwich with my eyes closed and then slept until almost 5 pm. Even after that when I was up I kept my eyes closed a lot or squinted my way around. My eyes felt better with them closed. My left eye in particular had a very sandy, slightly burning sensation. This morning it is pretty much gone, although my right eye seemed to have the sandy feeling when I first got up. I have to leave in about 30 minutes to go for my first post-op appointment. I have these cool shades to wear in the sun.
Oh yeah, I have had this weird metallic taste in the back of my mouth, do you think it is from the adivan?
