I just discovered the best secret on ebay!!! In Vegas, the clubs cost about $30 for cover and then drinks start at $6.00. I just discovered on ebay that I can purchase 4 VIP tickets to the clubs that we want to go to for $3.99 or lower, so for a total of 6 clubs (4 VIP tickets each) it will cost us $20.00 and that includes no cover, no line. Way better than $30.00 per club.

Heidi don't you love ebay? I would never had thought about that though! My brother lives out there. He drives a taxi. Use to work for a resort but he makes more money driving a taxi.

Only 8 more days for you Heidi.

Ok the Chocolate Pound Cake is almost done. The Boiled Cookies are cooling. I only have to fix the Peanut Butter Swirl Cookies, the Cream Cheese Crsecents Rolls and the Stawberry Cream Cheese Rolls. Do you guys think that is enough for Jeff while I am gone?

We just got back from the grocery store and I just realized I do not have enough vanilla. I am going to have to go back. I always use real vanilla. It is killing me that I am going to have to go back. If I wanted to use imiation I could just go a mile up the street!! I am so upset at myself. I should have bought more while there.

Selena - I will remind you if you go!!!! Hoe do you make cream cheese crescent rolls? Those sound so good, you have to give me the recipe for that and the strawberry cream cheese rolls. I think that is plenty for Jeff while you are gone!!!!

Oh Heidi they are wonderful. I spent a few hours Sunday looking over my recipes books to find some sweet recipes to fix for Jeff and all of this is what I came up with. I have never ever made the cream cheese Crescents before. The cream cheeses ones are good. I have not tried the strawberry one yet. I have tried everything except those and the pound cake. I am sweet out now.

Cream Cheese Crecent Rolls

2 pks of crescent rolls
1 pkg of light cream cheese
1 t vanilla
1 egg yolk
powdered sugar
1/2 C gradulated sugar

Mix sugar, cream cheese, vanilla and egg yolk in a small bowl. Mix until creamy.

Roll out crescent rolls. Place mixutre in crescents and then roll up. Bake according to directions on crescent roll paper or until golden brown. (11-15 minutes)

I then let them partially cool and put some melted margarine on the tops of them. Sprinkle powdered sugar on top.

They are wonderful. I only made 1 pkg so I use half the ingredients. Real fun to use half of an egg yolk. lol


Strawberry Cream Cheese Rolls

1 pk of crescent rolls
4 oz light cream cheese
4 oz strawberry jam or jelly

mix cream cheese and jelly together. Roll out crescent rolls and spoon mixture on top. Roll up and bake according to directions on crescent rolls. Top with melted margarine and then sprinkle powdered sugar on top.




I did notice on the plain cream cheese ones the cheese mixture looks puffy. On the strawberry ones it not puffy. I have not tried the strawberry ones. I hope they are good. If not I think I will just put a dab of strawberry jelly in to the mixture of the other recipe and have the strawberry ones that way.

Don't you love those looks preteens give you? I really find it amusing when she thinks I'm silly. Sometimes I even egg on those looks. Anyway, I am a MAJOR worrier and Aerial is a laid back happy go lucky kid. Last night she kept giving me those looks because I kept telling her I was sure we would forget something and we really need to be packing. I brought a suitcase to her room and she looked at me like I was nuts and said MOM we aren't leaving for a week. Oh well, tonight I will iron her shorts that should really get a look. Last night she joined the disboards She wants to be part of the harry potter threads on the community board. I'm trying to get her to post on our thread meet for our cruise so maybe one of the other kids could talk to her, but so far she hasn't. Kids!!! Gotta love em, and their looks.

BTW I'm home for lunch and no docs yet.

Marcie I can not believe you still do not have your docs. Normally they go to the TA first and then she or he sends them to you. This is not good!

Oh yeah the strawberry one was good too. Had some of the cake after dinner. I was very surprise when he cut it. Meaning he had to share it with 4 other people since my mom is here.

We went out to eat tonight and came home and they were on the porch.
Since I registered online I got a letter telling me all I have to do is the bahama form and bring a sign copy of the contracts from online. They are small packages now. Now it's time to pack.

Well last night my eye was bothering me and today I think I know why. I think I'm getting pink eye. It's a little crusty and not very red yet but I can feel it. I wear contacts and I will have to wear my glasses if it is pink eye. I am so upset. I don't think it's bad enough to go to the doc yet, maybe by tomorrow. The faster I can heal this up the faster I can wear my contacts.

Okay I am better now. I was really upset this morning. I went ahead and went to my eye doctor and he said it's pink eye but not bad yet, which I knew. So, he said, keep my contacts off until next Wed, the day I leave and then put them back on. Eye drops twice a day. He said I should be fine. Phew. Now I can get back to being excited. I'm rushing around work like crazy trying to get everything done before I leave.

Good news for you Marcie. I am so glad you went to the doctor!!! So how close are you to Houston? My works want me to attend a conference in Houston from Sept 18-22nd. Problem is I took the day off on Sept 18 but they still want me to fly there and attend from Sept 19th-22nd!!!!

I don't know, buy new clothes. Actually I will still have Sept 18th to unpack and do my laundry in the morning and Sept 17th pm, I will just have to leave back to the airport on Monday afternoon!!!
