Tonight they have another reunion event downtown at the Marriott. Dinner and dancing. The kids are staying at his sister's house and we are going to stay at the Marriott tonight. :woohoo:
Is that the Marriott on 18th & California across from the light rail station? I work in the building right next to it on the same block. Our break room basically looks right at the Marriott. How was your view? Which direction did your room face?

It's not a very good picture, the sun made a glare but here is Cosmo entering Lousianna today. He had a good day and is very excited for our trip Wednestday.

Yes, that's the one. We probably faced your office building break room. There was a Pepsi machine on one side of the room and a Coke machine on the other.

We had a great time. It has been awhile since we have had a whole night without the kids. His reunion was actually pretty fun too. The food was good and we had a good table of people to talk with.

It's almost time Marcie!!! I'll bet you and Cosmo are getting excited! :Pinkbounc

I have a question about St. Thomas. Okay we have the Captains Nautica in the morning to St. John. We will be done at noon so we want to go to Paradise Point to drink bushwackers and grab lunch. My question is, will we be able to buy souvenirs up there? Or, will we have time to go somewhere and buy some afterwards?

Paradise Point is the ride up the mountain. I was NOT impressed by this at all. Sorry Marcie. I felt like it was a cheesy waste of money but also consider we did this after a tour of St Thomas my FIL surprised us with. We had already bought tickets for this and he surprised us with the tour. So it was for me already been there and done that thing. Souvies are cheap there. I enjoyed shopping in the market much better.

Sorry Marcie I hope someone else can give you a better review of it there. Just remember I had already seen the island so this was not important to me. I tried to talk Jeff into not doing this but he felt like we still needed to. If you are not going to be able to see any of St Thomas then yes you probably will enjoy it.

We are going to Saratoga again today. We will be meeting several girls that are going on the cruise with us in November. Janet had already cruised with these girls and know them. I am looking forward to it.

It is suppose to be so hot here the next few days. I am almost dreading the heat tomorrow for the JB concert. We are planning leaving here by 11 so we can check into the hotel and then go on to the concert. We are staying an hour from Camden. We have a huge tailgate party planned. After tomorrow I have to start watching what I eat and not watching it go into my mouth!

It's okay, I know we won't have time to see much at St. Thomas from noon to 4 but I want to see a little and buy some souveniers and have a bushwacker. I woke up today and there is a new sign on our fridge. It is a big mickey head with the number 2 in the middle. 2 days and we are outta here!!!!!

Wow, now many funkey monkey's will be left for this weekend. Cristi will be in WDW, Marcie will be on the DCL, and I will be in Vegas!!!!

Marcie - I have never been to St. Thomas but I know that we are going up to Paradise Point for some Bushwackers!!!!

Selena - sounds like you are having a great time!!! Thanks for posting and keeping us updated!!!

Jrsy - Yuck, your work situation sounds like a mess. I hate it when people have other motives, what ever happened to Ethics!! Hang in there, sounds like things are going to get messy.

Cristi - sounds like you had a great weekend, wish mine was as fun as yours!!!

Hi LuLu, Hi Karen.

Okay now on to my weekend. I left work early on Friday to take a nap. I slept for 4 hours and then got up to help my friend load up the Uhaul until after midnight. Went to sleep around 2am and then woke up at 8:00 to be up at my friend's new place. We moved everything in and unpacked until 10:00pm. Sunday I cleaned all day and lemon oiled all the wood in my house, along with cleaning bathrooms, kitchen, vacuuming and laundry. After all this hard work this weekend, I am SOOOOO looking forward to laying out at the pool all day on Friday and Saturday even if it is 120 degrees outside in Vegas!!!!!

Funny story: I bid on those glow-stick straws that Selena put a link to and won. It was $17.00 for 60 straws, well the seller never responded to me and took over 2 weeks to ship the straws and I received them about 2 weeks ago. This weekend, waiting at my mom's house for me was 120 more straws from the seller, she must have been trying to make up for the negative feedback I left her.

That sounds like our breakroom, though I admit I have never been on any other floors in this building. We are on 5, is that about how high you were?

Jrsy, sorry about work. It doesn't sound like things will slow down for you for awhile.

Cristi, I have never been to a HS reunion. Mine would be too far away. Sounds like you are having fun though.

Marcie, I would love to do highlights (to cover the gray, lol). Wow, you are on short time now. I am just as excited for you as you are. I love the list idea for Cosmo. We can see what countries and states he visits.

Hi Lulu, Hi Karen.

Selena, those guys knew what they were doing that is for sure. Glad you didn't have to pay for the drinks!!

Nothing new my way. Same old thing.....

We were on the 6th floor and I kind of looked down into the breakroom. That was probably yours.

So I went and got my legs/bikini waxed and OMG did it ever hurt!!!! My hair dresser told me that the ankles hurt worse than the bikini area, well guess what she LIED. Holy batman did it sting!!!! But it didn't hurt enough for me not to do it, I will still do it Sept 1st before the cruise!!! The nice lady was trying to talk to me and then when got me engaged in coversation, rip...rip...rip. I could hardly breath let alone talk when she was ripping the hair out. I do admit one time I wanted to tell her to stop for awhile and let me take a deep breath but she was going so fast. Now I know for sure I would never be able to do that by myself because I would stop!!!!! (Of course I am being over dramatic!!!!!!) It really was okay, it wasn't a painful hurt but it did sting.

See, the DIS has that six degrees of separation thing going; even when you think you are getting away from it all, guess what!

Heidi, there is something more painful than having your hair yanked out with wax: gradually losing it, never to have it return.

Ohhhhhh Jrsy, that's ok. We still love you!! With the in style being shaved, that makes you very stylish!

Marcie, I forgot to add yesterday that shopping in St. Thomas is a breeze. There is a GREAT mall called Havensight Mall right outside of the ship. You shouldn't even have a problem getting shopping in. OMG, do you realize that you will soon be there!!!

THank you Sandy. Yes we are leaving tomorrow afternoon. I have to work until noon. That storm is headed for the bahamas by Sunday. I wonder what will happen there.

Jrsy, in that picture you remind me of someone . . . I'm trying to think of who it is. . .

Heidi- waxing does hurt! I had epilight laser hair removal on my bikini line and it killed. I need to go for a few more touch ups but I just haven't set the money aside for it yet. Oh, and it's funny your brought up waxing. I had Robbie was my eyebrows and legs over the weekend. He did a good job! I waxed his back- he doesn't have a lot of hair but the bits by his shoulders bothered him. It was quite the funny experience. And I still haven't figured out how my waxing kit is reusable. I used a million strips and can't figure out how to clean the tools but I have a ton of wax left over. :confused3

Sandy- I'm glad the mole is all better. You'll have to tell me all about camping. Robbie loves camping. :)

Selena- I have to hear all about Jersey! :)

Cristi- How long will you be in WDW and what are your dates? I think we'll probably just miss each other - I'll be there Aug 16-29. :woohoo:

And whoever was talking about mahi mahi- I agree. Kona Cafe makes the best mahi mahi- grilled is fabulous, but if you don't mind a couple extra calories- the macadamia crusted is to die for. That is my favorite WDW place to eat. :cloud9:

I am trying so hard to lose a few more pounds before I go. The past 3 weeks have been a big plateau and I'm still keeping to the same, so I'm a little bummed. I (hangs head in shame  ) am doing the cabbage soup thing just for 3 days to give me a little jump start (I hope). I don't do the whole eat six bananas one day, eat tomatoes and beef the other part though. I just eat the cabbage soup all day to fill me up and I also add 2-3 servings of lean protein (chicken, fish, etc.) and lots of fruits and veggies. It's my own spin on it. But I don't do it for a whole week or I get really crabby, lol. :furious:

Marcie- 1 day to go!!!!!!! :cheer2:

Well, I will talk to you all soon. I'm off to Curves! :grouphug:

Wow Lulu, you didn't forget a thing. I never remember to address everything. Waxing day at your house. We have done it before, too. I like going to salons now. Less pain. lol

Jrsy, believe it or not, Ted used to have long hair like that only his was curly. I much prefer your long straight hair over his long curly hair.

Marcie, I read on the board about the storm. Chris. I bet you will be fine. Just remember to bring meclazine and take it whether or not you think you need to......just in case. Otherwise, once you hit the choppy water and you are sick, it is too late to take anything for seasickness.
