hi
day one writing in a journal. I hope I can keep this up! As of today I would like to lose 10 pounds before heading to california in five weeks. I would like to be down to my prepregnacy weight by July 1st. that would be 20 pounds total. After that I will set another goal.
breakfast: 2 hard boiled eggs with sald. and a glass of water.
snack: four pieces of cheese and some nuts. Nuts were salty so didn't eat all of them. cup of tea.
lunch: hamburg and salad
snack: apple, with peanuts and craisons
dinner: planning chicken, aspargus and cucumber salad

I plan on taking my five month old for a walk. he was up almost the whole night Saturday so I am very tired so I don't think I will get curves in.

Looks like you have a great plan for today--lots of great fruits and veggies!

Well I did get my walk in that was great! I didn't have my apple for a snack I had sugar free jello. I was too tired to cook so I took my husband out to dinner. I had 2 diet cokes, a salad, and chicken fajiatas (sp?) and a couple of my husbands nachos. Wasn't bad. On the way home we stopped at the store to buy my son green beans. My husband asked for chips ahoy. We have some in the freezer (so I won't eat them!) no he wants them unfrozen! pain in the neck. I started to think to myself that I would have one. Nope I am not going to have one I want the ten pounds gone more than I want that cookie!! I am going to have him hide them real good. I didn't drink my water today. I had two glasses so actually thats good for me! oh and almost a whole bottle of fruit 2o. I will have a glass of water while watching tv tonight. I tend to go for flavored things to drink. I am trying to stay away from diet soda unless we are out.
I am going to try and not eat after 7:30.

goals for today:
I am going to postpartum class which will be a walk then some sort of exercise with weights
walk with my mom later
food:
breakfast: cereal with 2% milk
crystal lite tea
water while walking
snack: cheese and almond
lunch: roast beef sandwich?
snack:?
dinner: chicken

I plan on drinking a bottle of water 24 ounces. plus two glasses of water.

I will write tonight and see how my goals were met!!

well good news and bad news! good news is I walked and did weight strengthing exercise for an hour this morning then went for a nice walk with my mom for about a half hour. I drank 48 ounces of water!!! which for me is great!!! I had a turkey sandwich on pumperknickel. YUM! I also had a banana. for snack I had a sample bar of zuma which was very good going to get some of those.
well the bad news is I had three girl scout cookies!!! and a drink which I am sure was not diet!
well back on track. I think my good out wieghed my bad I hope!!!
still dinner left!

You're doing a great job with your exercise and planning. A cookie (or 3 ) here or there isn't going to stand in the way of your goal! Just make sure the overall trend is healthy!

well I am very discouraged. I weighed myself this morning and it says I am up two pounds. I can't be!! I haven't really eaten anything bad that would make me go up! I am hoping its the sodium from last nights dinner and my time of month coming! I will drink lots of water today to flush out the extra salt. I am going to watch my salt intake also.
I am on my way to curves and later will take my son out for a walk.
breakfast was cereal with 2% milk and a glass of water.
snack: cheese and almonds.

well I did go to curves and had a great work out. I also went for a walk. So my exercise was great! for lunch I had a turkey and roast beef sandwich on whole wheat bread. I had a orange for snack. Dinner I had a small piece of lasagna, texas toast, and a salad. my brother in law made peaches in cream I had a small bowl of that. I did drink water today.
could of been better could of been worse!

I lost the 2 pounds that I had gained yesterday so it was just from sodium. Have to watch that! I found a new drink orange crystal lite tastes just like tang! YUM!
I had my cereal for breakfast, then a snack size luma bar, a cheese stick, an orange. For lunch I had a turkey and roast beef sandwich on pumpknickel. I was really hungry today. I had another orange at my mom's. I had a stuffed clam. For dinner I had fish and rice and salad and a piece of bread. Oh I also had sugar free puding. It must be that time of the month coming! I did go for an hour walk today along with some weight exercises.
I was thinking alot today about why I can't lose the wieght. I thought about going to weight watchers or going back on the curves low carb diet. think I am going to do the curves. If I can't do it I am going to join weight watchers after I get back from california in May.
I asked my husband if he would do it with me. I am sure he will. and probably lose 10 pounds the first week!! :smooth:

Well, today was ok. I had my cereal and milk for breakfast, almonds and cheese for snack, a roast beef and turkey sandwich for lunch. But I had a couple of handfulls of chocolate chips for no reason and 3-4 chip ahoys cookies!! for dinner I had an atkins dinner chicken and veggie enchiladas very good! onion soup, and bourbon chicken. :confused3
I think my husband and I are going to do the curves or oprah's boot camp starting on monday.
I walked today!

lets just say tomorrow is another day!!! today not a good eating day!! but ok exercise wise!!
oh well always tomorrow! I made up my menu for the week and grocery list so I am all set to start fresh on monday!
 
well day one of oprahs 12 week challenge. I am really ready to do this!!
I had for breakfast scrambled eggs with mozzerella cheese and 2 pieces of bacon a glass of chrystal lite ruby red grapefruit.
I will post later about exercise and the rest of the day!

well I am doing very well on my eating. I am so proud of myself!! I know its only been two days but its been great! Exercising well thats another story! But I did get my water in today!!!

YEAH I LOST 1.5 POUNDS SINCE MONDAY!!! YEAH!!! OPRAH WORKS!!!! :cool1:
lets hope I can continue! Now I am motivated to start exercising again! the weather is nice today so I will get out and walk with Dylan!! :cheer2:

I can't beleive that just giving up breads, potatoes, grains sugar I can lose wieght this fast!!! its amazing. I did hte curves diet and it was so much harder to figure out what I could eat. oprah's challenge is great!! I am down three pounds!! its amazing. I didn't think I was eating that much of that stuff but I must of been! I also stopped drinking diet coke everyday.
my goal for the weekend: to drink 2 24 ounce bottles of water a day. Not including glasses of water. If I do this I will take a nice hot bath, read a good book and enjoy a cup of tea on monday before my comedy shows.
I think I will set mini goals like this for myself.
I am having a hard time writing in my journal. I feel like I am talkign to myself! :rotfl:

I am so proud of myself!!!! I had a crop today and one of the ladies brought cookies, pretzels and soda. I put out chocolate. I didn't have anything. I am so happy!! then I went out to dinner soup and salad. It was very good. I left the bread didn't even want it!!!
tomorrow I will do a walk away the pounds tape before I go up and spend the day scrapping!
