CR Garden view no FD?

Looking to change my reservation from Wilderness Lodge to Contemporary Garden View room but I was told there are none that qualify for FD option. Only Tower rooms are available. Anyone book a Garden View room with FD?

Is it possible that one become available or am I out of luck with this idea? Thanks!

I'm pretty sure you're out of luck. They only set aside so many rooms at each resort for FD. Once they are gone, they are gone. Even if someone had a CR Garden View with FD and they cancel, that room goes back into the general pool.

I'm pretty sure that's how it works. But if I'm wrong, I'm sure someone will be by shortly to correc me.

Perhaps you can at least get a AAA discount on the room, since you are paying for the dining plan (or paying out of pocket for food) anyway?

Often, the GW rooms at the CR are set aside for groups and convention blocks at a discounted rate to the groups. That is most likely one factor in why there is no availability for FD. I wouldn't count on it, but it can't hurt to keep trying!

most of the time when conventions or groups are using the CR gv - they are blocked and you can't get a reservation there period.

so did they say that part of the resort is full - or just no fd here?
