Hi, We have a reservation for July at the CR thru SOG. When I got my reservation confirmation it states on it that "Remaining Package Amount:$$$ is due by 6/26/03. This is for room only, I did not book a package. This is about 3 weeks before our arrival. So today when I called to have my 1 nite deposit put on my credit card I asked the CM if this was the way SOG did their payment. And he told me no, to disreguard this and I could pay after our stay? Now I would like to believe this, BUT I know you can get different answers from CM's. So has anyone else had this come up with staying at the CR thru SOG? And should I pay ahead or trust that my 1 nite deposit will hold the room until I get there and check in with a credit card? Thanks, Joan:confused:

Yes, I was told the same thing. However, our total reservations was for 2 nights, and the deposit paid for the 1st night, so I went ahead and paid the remaining due because it was only one more night. And to be on the safe side.

I was told that for SOG reservation that you did NOT have to pay the remaining due it was just the only way the computer could do it. So I was told the same thing you were, but decided to ignore it and pay anyway. If it had involved more money, I might not have paid ahead. I wonder if you called Disney reservations directly what they would say.

Another observation though - for us we have 2 separate reservations for our upcoming trip. The first 2 days is a SOG room at CR (the one I mention above) but the last 3 days is a SOG OVERFLOW room also at CR but in the tower (we will have to change rooms) and the reservation confirmation I got in the mail for the 2 of them is different. The SOG room is on a red trim white piece of paper & mentions needing to pay the remaining balance, however the SOG OVERFLOW room does not. The OVERFLOW room is on a yellow piece of paper and says only a deposit is due. Soooo, not sure why they are different and why the computer can do it both ways??? If they could send a confirmation for the overflow room that doesn't say the entire balance is due, why can they do it with a regular SOG room.

So, not sure if I helped you, but that is what I know.

Joan S.,
We just stayed at the CR via SoG from 9/10-9/21. We had only paid the one night's deposit when we had booked (a year in advance, and before the renovations even started) and we were just fine. Our confirmation had the whole package thing and a due date, too. We just paid upon arrival, at the CR check-in and it was no problem. We also have 2 more ressies for CR via SoG right now, and our confirmations have all said the same thing. hope this helps!

I booked SOG/CR for my son's honeymoon the week of July 4th and only had to pay one night's deposit. He paid the rest when he arrived.

Thanks everyone for the replies. It made me feel better knowing others have paid at check-in. Joan:smooth:
