We are just back from our best stay at Disney ever. The 14th floor staff was absolutely amazing with many difficult requests. It was DS's 4th birthday and they also arranged all kinds of surprises.

We were in a 14th floor suite and it was absolutely beautiful and huge.

Happy to answer any questions.

Hi! Welcome home

What difficult requests did the cm's help you with and what kind of surprises? (enquiring minds want to know!)

How was the lounge and the food/beverages offered - can you go into some more detail?

Glad you had a nice time at the CR

>>^..^<<

Difficult - my MIL has celiac disease and needs a gluten free diet. They arranged for the chefs to meet with us at each restaurant and had special food prepared. Normally - I would have needed to do this on my own. They also picked up dinner for us from the Claifornia Grill so we could eat at our dining room table in our room. CG does not do room service so this was an extra special request.

FOr my DS - they had a big balloon bouquet, a jar of jelly beans, a picture frame with a touch of magic certificate, and a cake. Plus a signed birthday card from mickey mouse. They also had Pal Mickey waiting for us - at my request. Every night they placed a "finding Nemo" character on his bed and the last night they had all the characters displayed on one bed and a huge Bruce the shark on the other looking to attack them. My DS LOVED it!

Lounge was fabulous. Pastries, fruit, cereal for breakfast. Snacks throughout the day. Tea. Cocktail hour with hot items and Liquors and MANY desserts at night.

Best of all the staff was so nice. They greeted us everytime by name - entertained DS and just really seemed to enjoy the job. Since CR is a big convention hotel - I don't think they get too many kids and they seemed to like surprising DS.

FInally - the room was HUGE - with a fabulous balcony and view of MK.

We loved it!:bounce: :Pinkbounc

I was able to visit this suite a couple years ago and really liked it. :)

Could you please tell me the times for the lunch snacks, the dinner snacks and the dessert?

Were the dinner snacks from the California grill, I have heard this, is it true? They are supposed to be appetizers, what kind did they have for you? And could you please tell me what kind od desserts they had for you?

I will be going to the CR 14th floor in October. Thanks in advance.

We almost switched to CR 14th floor last Tuesday. We chose WL instead. BUT, I'd like to hear all about the 14th floor because I think we'll stay there next.

I'd like to know the answer to whether you were able to use any type of discount on the room too? And if you don't mind, what did you pay a night?

Was this a one bedroom suite?
Did it seem crowded because of any conventions?
Was the lounge crowded?

Sorry for all the questions :). Already planning our next trip even though we just returned 2 days ago....

You are soo funny. We too are home 2 days and I'm already planning our next trip.

No discounts - we paid rack rate and you can (gulp!) look on the web to see what we paid. It was a special trip so I sucked it up!

My room was very similar to the one pictured by Suite Disney with some different art work. We were the last SUite at the end of the hall by the MK. Firework view was really special.

The lounge was never crowded - we were usually the only ones there. Concierge told us it was a slow period.

Exact times (I think)- 7-10am was breakfast. 10:30 - 2:00 was snacks. They had cookies, chips, pretzels, rice krispie treats and usually some pb&J sandwiches. Tea was from 3-4:30. We never went to that. 5-7 was dinner snacks. Crackers, cheese, wine, hot appetizers - they had wings and ribs the day we went. Veggies and dip and I think fruit. Help yourself to 4 different wine selections. 7-10 Cordials - also help yourself. Desserts - one night a fabulous Strawberry shortcake, eclairs, cream puffs, fruit tarts, etc. Another night cheescake with fresh raspberries. There was always whole fruit out. They also stocked our in-room refrigerator with drinks. Sodas and water.

We had 4 people in the suite DH, DS, MIL and me. We were not in any way crowded. There was seating for 4 at an outside table and seating for 6 inside at the dining room table. Had two full baths - that was nice.

Again - I really felt the personal touch of the staff made all the difference. Because of all of the suites - they are not covering too many people. We stayed GF concierge in the lodge and we liked that - but it was no comparison to this.
