I'm on a BiPAP machine, but I'm assuming the same kind of masks. I use nasal pillows. I have a face mask, and if I'm sick and really congested, I might use it, but it's really uncomfortable for me so I usually just stick to the nasal pillows.
I'm on it because of sleep apnea caused by a congenital heart defect, and I have trouble with underoxygenation/low o2 SATs while I'm asleep, so I usually bleed in oxygen as well. Because of this, I use both a humidifier on my oxygen concentrator and a humidifier on my BiPAP, which prevents nose/throat dryness. My BiPAP is tiny, and with its humidifier fits in a bag only a little larger than my purse.
