We are trying to do this trip on more of a budget. Wondering if its worth it to pay the $ for a dinner and CP package, or if our kids are too small to sit through/enjoy the CP? Teppan Edo is one of our favorite restaurants but has one of the most pricey dinners for this evening! It might be too late for us to find ressies anywhere else anyway... any way, anyone take small kids to CP?

While I enjoyed the CP on our trip in 2012, I don't think it's really for young kids. I had to leave with my son and sit on the side after about 5 minutes (I wanted to sit all the way in the back with him in the stroller from the beginning but they wouldn't allow it).

We didn't do the meal though, we went in early December and the narrator that week wasn't super popular, it was very easy to get in on standby. Depending on when you go and who is speaking it may be easy or impossible to get seats on standby.

I don't think I would chance it with young kids unless I was prepared to get up and leave and not worry about the hefty price tag. You know you can watch from the back also, it is an open theater (at least it was when we went).

Can your kids sit through a religious service? That is the closest thing I can think of (music and talking, but not much to watch) that is similar.

I agree with Stitches. Just imagine a sermon the Sunday before Christmas - 45 minutes worth without any audience participation until the very end.

We are taking our two year old to the early show. There is a lot to look at and he loves music. I'll bring a few distractions but I think exposing him to the experience is worth it.
