While DH and I are not newbies to DL at all, we are going to be at DL during the CP this year for DH's birthday, neither of us have been to that. I know it will be crowded and we are ready for that. My questions are about the CP itself.
We did not purchase the tickets/dinner, but I have read that anyone in DL at the time it is happening can watch. I thought we might check out one of the CP's, but I have no idea where to go, besides Main Street of course. Maybe it'll be obvious once we get there, but as most of you know, we are planners on this board and we like to know before we go ...
I don't have any deliusons about getting a great viewing spot, I think it might even be more about what you can hear than what you can see, but I am not sure about that. Where is it set up on Main Street? In the town square or near the hub? The choir is huge, where are they set up, behind the stage? Does the placement change each year? Do they have roped off areas where you can be (besides for the people with tickets)? Where would a good spot be? Anything else I should know before I go? Maybe we'll just skip it and head over to DCA until it closes?
