Trying to make up my mind about PS before my 90 window is here. Which do you prefer for a character dinner - Crystal Palace or Liberty Tree Tavern? We have done CP for Bfast before but never dinner and we have never tried LTT. Any suggestions would be helpful! :flower:

We've done both and prefer Crystal Palace. LTT was OK- nothing terrific to us. CP has much more variety of food- much more- and the atmosphere is more festive and fun. LTT is pretty dark inside. I'm glad we did LTT once- but it is not a favorite of ours- we much prefer CP. princess:

Thanks Tink - we really enjoyed CP for Bfast and I wanted to try something new but DD would like to go back to CP so maybe we will try that one for dinner.

I like them both too and have done both for dinner. It's tough to say. They are different. Of course CP has Pooh and friends and LTT has Minnie and friend.

CP is a buffet with lots of choices especially if you have a picky eater like my little ones. LTT is pre-plated which can be nice if you don't want to keep getting up for your food but the selection is less variety.

CP is more bright and cheery than LTT.

I think if I really had to choose, it would be CP but I'd eat at LTT again in a heartbeat.

Thank you Beattyfamily! I will have to check our schedule maybe there is a way we can do both - LOL :teeth:

This is a tough choice for me as we love both. I will say that CP will tip the scales mostly because of the huge variety of foods. I think the quality of food is very good at LTT and of course if you have a favorite group of characters that might be a reason to pick one over the other. I don't think you could go wrong with either. Have fun.

Thanks everyone - I still have not quite decided - I may go ahead an make PS's for both and then as the time gets closer we can always cancel one if we don't think we will make it.

We did lunch at LTT and breakfast at CP. I loved both but if I had a choice I would choice LTT.
The food at CP was good but we like LTT better for the quality. Also LTT is family-style and brought to you. We liked having the waitress bringing all we wanted to eat to us.

We love LTT, our favorite character meal. We last ate at CP for dinner in July and were not impressed. Service was terrible, many dishes on the buffet ran out and took a long time to refill, and after the characters came through twice and did not stop at our table we told our waitress and the next time they came through they still did not stop. I finally went and told a hostess that they needed to take care of it, since we had been there 1 1/2 hours and we were ready to go. All she said was to stay at our table and they would eventually stop.

Ended up seeing Pooh, Tigger, and Piglet in the park after a two minute wait and it didn't cost anything.

pirate: Have to agree with Avalanche. Did both LTT for dinner and CP for Breakfast two weeks ago. We finished our meal at CP and waited, waited, waited, and waited for the characters to come around. We were ready to go and the waitress said we would just have to wait and they would eventually come. DW and DD(6) are huge Pooh fans and they wanted to leave without seeing all the characters. On the other hand..... LTT was a BLAST!! The food was great. The character interaction was awesome. The characters came all came twice and some came three times while we were there. Minnie and Goofey are dressed in Colonial era costumes which was very cool. Chip and Dale were a lot of fun. Pluto kept coming around and trying to "sniff" the food. The waitress' kept threatening to put him in the doghouse. It was a much more relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere. DD(6) enjoyed LTT more than eating at Cindy's Castle.

We've always had great character interaction at CP. Last November, the characters came by 3 times during our dinner. We also enjoyed the selection of food.

We are going to try LTT this October-- I have heard that it's good.

Have not tried CP but we have LTT and loved it. We think the family style is great and the staff was very fast and accomdating to our needs. The food was plentiful and very good. The setup is very cozy and the characters came around several times. We are going back this Nov. and already made reservations during MVMCP....smj
