CP dinner package question on child's menu

I am considering the dinner package at Rose & Crown.

When you purchase a CP dinner package for a child, does that still include an appetizer and dessert from the adult menu? Otherwise, it seems the cost of the package ($10.99) and the cost of the child meal ($4.99) seems quite inflated. So... if a child can order off the appetizer menu, then the child's meal, then dessert, that might be closer to $18 or so... above the cost of the dinner package.

Has anybody an any experience with this? Are you able to order anything off the menu or are there specific items you can order on the package?

We had the CP dinner package at Le Cellier last Christmas. The kids were allowed to choose any meal off of the children's menu, as well as dessert, also from the kid's menu. Appetizers were not included.
