Hi All,
We will be in WDW in early December (12.1 - 12.14) and plan to see CP when we are there. This is our first Christmas time trip and I can't wait!

I plan to book the CP dinner package even though it's early December. There will be 7 of us - three kiddos, 6, 4, and 2 and my in laws...so we won't want to chance having to wait on long lines!!

Here's my question is there any reason to prefer one show over another. I heard the earliest one isn't dark enough to enjoy the candlelight fully -- but how about between the 6:45 and the 8:15 shows? Are they equally enjoyable? How about crowds? Which show do you all recommend?

The kids are *pretty good* at staying up late. If the 8:15 is much preferred we could probably do it without much trouble. If the two shows are equally enjoyable, I would probably stick withthe 6:45 just to be safe. Eating earlier is not a problem. The kids are usually hungry for dinner about 5:00 anyhow.

Thanks for your feedback!

We did the 8:15 show last Dec and it was terrific. It was dark at the time and it did add to the atmosphere. But, we did have to wait in a longish line. We ate at Garden Grill around 5:30. Had a leisurely walk over to WS for the show. Saw a long line outside the theater and asked what it was for. It was the CP package holders line!! The time? 7:15!!! There were probably about 100 people ahead of us. Had to wait until almost 7:50 to be seated. Just wanted to share with you that you might still have a longish line to wait in.

We've generally chosen the 6:45 show and asked for the earliest dinner seating (usually around 4:40 or so). It's definitely dark enough to fully appreciate the show. We eat a big breakfast that day and are usually very ready for an early dinner. Of course, DH always says he needs a Mickey ice ceam to "tide him over", LOL

Anyway, in your situation, I'd advise choosing whichever show allows you enough time to eat at the restaurant of your choice before the show - the kids will probably enjoy the show & be able to sit better if they are fed first.

JMHO. YMMV.

P.S. In early December, especially if you choose a weekday, you should not have to wait in any long lines if you buy the package. Even if you don't arrive until 15 minutes before the show begins, you will get a seat. The CMs rope off a large enough section to accomodate the package guests, but you need to arrive at least 15 minutes ahead of time or risk losing your space to stand by guests.
