We'll have a 4, 5 and two 7 year olds - they all swim but won't be doing the trampolines or ice-berg climbs unless there are life jackets available at the beach.

We want somewhere we can camp out from getting off the ship until 3 p.m. or so as a family. Lunch and drinks for adults will be needed. And do either offer life jackets?

Is one or the other better for this age range? They will hang on the beach, probably play near the water's edge, possibly on some floats.

Thanks in advance!

We went to Paradise Beach with our 6 YO and 3YO. They didn't do the iceberg or trampoline because they were pretty far off-shore for kids in that age group, IMO. I overheard MANY kids, MUCH older then yours or mine, complaining about the iceberg. That it was VERY hard to climb, and it "hurt" entering the water. I'm sure that would be the same regardless of place. The trampoline was small, and only fit about 2 or 3 people at a time. At Paradise Beach you have to pay $5 to be able to use the water toys, since I knew my kids wouldn't want to, I got to sit on the beach for free!! I believe there is an entrance fee at Sanchos regardless if you're going to use the toys or not. The food at Paradise Beach was GREAT, and we were able to order and eat directly on the beach! I'd definately return to Paradise Beach, it was a GREAT place with GREAT food, GREAT service and the place was most importantly CLEAN!

I went to Mr. Sanchos beach in October and there wasn't a charge to enter the beach. There was a charge if you wanted to use the toys, but there wasn't a trampoline or slide in the ocean. At Mr. Sanchos beach you can also pay to go horseback riding or rent an ATV. It was a lot of fun, they do have a salt water pool and very clean restrooms.

I think we got taken when we ordered food though, because for 1 plate of Nachos and 3 Margaritas plus tax and tip (they include the tip in the bill) it totaled $28. We were shocked it cost that much and the waiter showed us the menu and sure enough a small plate of Nachos was $18. We clarified to make sure it was American Dollars and not pesos but it was dollars.

We've been to Mr Sanchos twice and loved it both times. There is not a charge to simply go and use the beach and the chairs. However, there is a charge for the "toys" and the trampoline which was there for our 1/04 cruise but not our 6/03 cruise. We found the food great and reasonably prices, but I guess it was what we ordered. I loved the Sol beer, it's what I drink at home now! I also liked the small shops that were there and it made it easy to pick up a few things to bring home while not taking away any time from the beach.

Which beach has the small zoo out front Paradise or Mr. Sancho's?

Had a great time there last time but not sure which one it was .

Can anybody out there help?

I think it was Playa Sol....the one with the giant iceberg in it....whichever that one is on lol.

We went to Paradise Beach on the 12/04/04 Western and all four of us loved it. My children are 5 & 6 and spent about 5 hours in the water. They did not want to go back to the ship. Since they both are good swimmers I did not take notice if they had any life jackets available. We all swam to the trampoline and iceberg and I agree, the iceberg was very hard to handle. They loved the trampoline, but it was hard to get up on it. We paid $20 for the four of us and spent about $50 (including tip) for lunch and drinks. We would definitely go again as it was a highlight of our trip.

Is Paradise Beach, the Beach break excursion offered by Disney? If so, I thought lunch was included. This IS the one with the pool and small zoo right? Heck I am confused lol.

Thanks....Tracy

Tracy: Paradise Beach is not the one through DCL and I do not remember seeing a pool or small zoo. Lunch was not included, but I found the prices reasonable considering it only cost $5 per person to use their facilities. The cab fare was $13 one way.
