Hi Everyone!

This will be our 4th DCL, including second time on Fantasy, but this is our first Western Itinerary.

I was thinking of booking the Port Adventure "Cozumel Ruins, Chocolate, Beach Break."

Does anyone know if ferry / boats are used for transportation to or from any of these parts of the excursion? I read the description on the DCL website but is wasn't clear as to this. If so I don't think I would book it, as I have heard bad things about the ferry transportation and I am prone to seasickness.

Also, has anyone done this excursion? Any positive or negative feedback would be appreciated. We are a family of 5: me, DH, DS(16), DD(16), DS(7).

Thanks! :thanks:

I have it booked for our upcoming Western on the Fantasy. The ruins (San Gervasio) are on Cozumel, as opposed to the ruins on the main land (Tulum). I wanted Tulum, but based on DD's reaction to rough seas on a whale watching trip (queasy the rest of the day), we decided that San Gervasio was a better option, as it is on the island and accessed by vehicle.

I believe the Tulum ruins take you by ferry. In Colzumel you can walk off the boat, no tendering and are taken to the Cozumel ruins by shuttle (auto)

To confirm you stay on the island, you walk off the ship for that tour.

No boats required to the mainland, like Tulum. Those boats do cause terrible seasickness as they are low in the water, enclosed and you cant see the horizon. Little openings so no fresh air.
