Cozemel ???'s

Hello,
Going on 1st cruise 6/19 disney western .Was wondering if anyone knows of a shorter tour of the mayan ruins than is listed
on the disney cruise list.
Also, when at castaway is there an excursion to paridise Island?

No excursion to Paradise Island while at Castaway Cay. Just Island activities, parasailing, biking, kayaking, Deep Sea Fishing. Not sure on the Cozumel thing, as we did the Catamaran Sail/Snorkel and it was the best excursion we ever did.

We will also be on our 1st Disney cruise on June 19th, sweetpea. I can't wait!!

If you go to the mainland ruins (Tulum/ChichinItza) you will have a long day. Cozumel is an island and you will need to take the ferry to Play del Carmen area, then travel to the ruins, then travel back to PdC and then ferry back to Cozumel. It will be a long day no matter how you do it. There are a few ruins (San Gervasio) on Cozumel that are about 10 miles out of town, but they are nothing like those of Tulum or CI.

Yes - we heard that the actual ruins on the island itself are not that exciting. We have also heard that the Ferry ride to Tulum often makes people queasy. Something to keep in mind if you get sea sick. We went to Chankanaab Park and loved it. There are lots of fake (but very realistic ruins, swim with dolphins, great snorkeling, sea lions, bird shows, etc... We had alot of fun!

Check cozumelhomes.com for the Dune Buggy tour. It sounds incredible. We are going to try it with our DS6 when we go on the Western. shoretrips.com will also have other excursion available.
