Does anybody else watch this show on CMT? DH and I do and it's hilarious and a whole lot of fun! For thoes who've never seen it, it's a reality show where they take 8 "city slickers" out to a working cattle ranch (this year it;s in Oklahomw, but in the past it's been in Texas and even Hawaii). The have them "train" to be cowboys (learn to ride horses, rope cows, ride bulls etc) and do crazy stunts like catch a muddy piglet, do mounted shooting and stuff. It's usually 4 guys and 4 girls, and the girls are ALWAYS totally prissy in the beginning (what do you mean I have to touch DIRT???...or pick up MANURE???) Then I always get so angry watching these morons learning to ride. Most of the girls start crying because they are either afraid of the horse or "the horse just won't listen...or was crazy/took off with me" (I'm a professional riding instructor and those poor horses are saints for putting up with those people. one guy was bragging about how his crazy horse took off with him...it was trotting.).
I keep trying to convince DH to apply for the show but I doubt they'd take either of us.
At the end of the season they go on a long cattle drive and then have to perform in a rodeo. It's pretty neat and usually by then they've actually toughened up a bit and can ride fairly well (enough where I don't cringe).
