Cowboy cookout character lunch questions

thanks for posting this, seriously looking at this restaurant for our trip. just to clarify, and I know I sound really dumb here, it's a counter service restaurant but I have to book a table?

We just turned up, but you can make a reservation. You don't book a table as such, as after you've ordered your food you just take a seat wherever is free.

But the reservation will just guarantee you entry should it turn out to be a busy day!

I highly recommend doing this for lunch. Although it seems expensive for a counter service restaurant, the food is delicious and the character interaction was the best we had on our trip!
