Covid testing for Christmas

Looking people's opinions. Will there still testing requirements by the time holiday cruises start?

It’s hard to say. International air travelers no longer need to test and CLIA has asked the CDC to eliminate the requirement for embarkation testing but it’s a toss up what will be the situation in December. If testing keeps you from going I would pay the minimum deposit and then cancel before your paid in full date arrives.

Unfortunately there is no way to tell. We're making plans for our November cruise on how we want to do it but honestly we have no idea if it will be required. Cruise lines (including Disney) would all requirements to be gone tomorrow. It limits who travels and limits the $$ they make. We'll just have to sit back and see. I'd make plans for it and hope that it's not required.

Hard to say, but Bahamas and some cruise lines have started removing testing so I am thinking that tests could very well disappear at some point between now and the fall?

Not sure, we cruise in December and our “under 5er” will be fully vaccinated by then (he’s scheduled to get his first dose July 5th if all goes as planned with CDC this week)…. I say that to say I’m sure Disney will be changing their rules again soon to incorporate the under 5ers so plenty will be changing in the next few months.

Not in all countries though. Cruises that leave from the US or Canada still require testing, even by Viking.

DIS Board rules prohibit speculation, so to avoid points the only answer I can give is , too soon to predict. Even Dr. Fauci apparently isn't safe.

Like others have said, it's hard to say. My guess is who knows if ever that it will end. I really can't speculate on this. I'm not a conspiracy theorist, an anti-vaxxer ( fully vaxxed and boosted once). But I personally believe the powers to be are loving the power and there are way too many people making way, way too much money on all of this. There, I've said it. Flame away. LOL

OP has gotten the only accurate answer possible..no one knows at this point. While we wish we had all the answers, sadly, we don't.

Since all this thread will entail is speculation and opinion, which usually ends in Dis Rule breaking, I'm going to close this now to avoid that inevitable mess. Thank you for your understanding.
