Courtesy we can extend to each other

I think DVC could go very low tech on this. They could have a door tag (like the Room Occupied tags) which says, "I've checked out, room is ready to be cleaned for the next guest." When you leave, you put it on the outside of the door. I know that not everyone would do it, but for those who would, it would be readily visible to the Mousekeeper working that area.
If we see a housekeeper in the hallway on our way out (and we usually do) we tell them we’ve just left room #xxxx. I agree that I’d like to have a way to notify them via the app, the TV or the room phone.

A simple hello to everyone you come in contact with might change someone’s day. It’s free and can ( maybe) put a smile on their face and change their attitude.
Perfect request!

NEVER run in the hallways.
NEVER yell in the hallways (we actually try to not speak in the hallways or whisper)
I agree, however a little one so excited to get to the park or pool, they are off in a flash! LOL. not at 3am however. my kids get in trouble for raising voices, you never know who's taking a nap.

Perfect request!
I think disney is already one of the friendliest places. even during covid, before they would get on a elevator I had several people ask if we were vaccinated , I'd say yes they were too and they'd ask to ride up. not a problem. everyone was very courteous to each other at the hotel. I did see a few aggravated people at HS. but with those lines, I can't say I blamed them.

1) A simple "hello, (insert name based on name tag), and thank you for (insert CMs task)." Better than any "attaboy" you can send to corporate.
2) Trash collection areas are a great resource. At HHI, they're located (and marked with signage) under each building: Guest Trash Collection. Yes, the daily room checks will still continue. ;)
3) As for a tip, if you leave trash, please don't leave opened containers of milk, juice, and other items that can leak in a bag. There is very little worse than a half drunk gallon of milk sitting in the bottom of a trash bag. It weighs a lot, sours quickly, and leaks like crazy--the perfect storm for a nasty garbage bag, especially since most garbage sits around in compactors for a few days. Instead, pour those half full containers of milk, juice, tea, wine, etc. down the drain before tossing in the trash. :thumbsup2

We always order a case or two of bottled water. We always have a lot leftover (sometimes even a whole case). Any of the bottled, bagged or boxed items that are unopened we'll bring down to the lobby area and find someone that's just arriving and give it to them. With the reactions we've gotten you'd think we gave them far more than some water and granola bars!

Awesome idea!
