I really like those BM dresses! All you girls on here with your long dresses make me doubt my choice for short dresses!! hahaha Really they are stunning. Is that black or navy? Are you keeping them in that color as well?

Don't doubt your choice of short dresses. Short dresses are SOOOOO cute; I love them. I doubt my choice of long dresses haha. Seriously, your dresses are beautiful and you shouldn't doubt any of your choices...they are wonderful. We are keeping them navy and the girls will carry burgundy/purplish flowers and the boys will probably be in black with purple/burgundy accents (pocket inserts, ties)...I hope that matches.

If we get only around 60 invites then we should be able to get the programs and buffet cards for between about $800; if we have 90 invitations it will total right at $1000; sounds like a lot but this also includes table numbers, all of the envelopes, RSVP cards, and the inside envelope seals personalized, as well as the aforementioned. The price should drop dramatically with less than 90 invitations (not every person needs an invite since a lot of people are couples and families- something I just now realized lol....I am slow).

Faye, OMG you are so right, it was quite the battle getting them to decide and AGREE!!! But it all worked out.

Sorry about your FMIL, I have to say I have the same and we are really getting annoyed with the "bit Disney" comments too, and "is it fancy fress" or "are you dressing as Mickey mouse?". Lately we have been thinking we wish we were just going out to do it on our own as we know we will love every bit of our day, but I am sure when our guests get there they will take all of their comments back! How can someone say "I hate Disney" when they have never even been to any parks?! Grrr.....

My FMIL is just totally uniterested in out plans and doesn't get involved at all which is nice as like you me and her have very different tastes, but I feel sorry for Scott as my family are showing interest, and have also given us some money towards the wedding. FMIL has brought a cheap dress from a supermarket here in the sale for £13 to wear to her own sons wedding! And as you know our colour scheme is blue and purple, her dress is pink...and his sisters black and orange?! Families huh!!!!

Yes, the BM dresses are tha color, navy. Our color scheme is based on the little mermaid (he he) and is all about deep blues and purpleish-burgundy.

OMG, what's the deal with FMIL and families? Really. I know how you feel about just wanting to run off and get married by yourself but once the day has arrived I am sure you will ne glad you did it the way you did. FMILs sometimes just don't get it and I guess we should just ignore them and enjoy our time and the people who are excited for us. Pink, black, and orange dresses huh? Lol....at least you will not how to find them if they get lost...they will be the oddly dressed ones.

Oh well..don't let it bother you. We are going to have the best weddings!! They are approaching fast.

Hi beautiful wonderful people! Hope you are all having a great day. These next few posts are heavy on the pictures, just so ya know. Enjoy!

Here are the wonderful invitations Denise designed:

It's a bit hard to tell on here but they are pearlized white (shiny!!!) and on navy backing with a cute little crystal in the middle:

Our Envelopes- this is a pciture of the inside of the envelope seal:

RSVP Card- not sure we will keep it like this but this is the 1st design she sent-it's on shiny pearlized paper too:

Reception Card- I want to make some changes to this b/c it's a little too plan but a good start- this too is on pearlized paper:

Here is another invitation that she sent; it is so cute, we both really love it but think that the other is a little more "adult-like" and I fell in love with the first one right away. All of her designes are cute though.

This is yet another one she sent; I like the paper used and the sideways design...how it's a long invitation...so I may ask her to utilize this long cardstock but with the design from the first invitation.

The cost:

For 90 invitations, that will include RSVP cars, envelopes for invites and RSVP cards, printed envelope inside seals, and table numbers: $773.00

At first I thought this was a bit expensive but after doing lots of research, for any invitation that is customized this is about right, actually a little cheaper and includes table numbers. We won't need 90 invites b/c people will be in couples and families so we'll probably end up with getting 65 or so invites. This will bring the price down a lot, to approx. $470. We want to use Denise's work for our programs and add reception cards which will put us at about $700-$800 with a 65 invitation count. So for all of our paper products for the entire wedding we will be coming in uner $1000. I think I can handle that. We were going to use just an online store and get a standard invitation, not custom made, and it would be significantly cheaper, about $300-$400 but that includes only the invites and it doesn't match our "Under The Sea Theme". I am pretty siked about our invitations.

So what do you ladies think? Do you like them? Can't wait to see what you guys think!

I really like the first ones too! I LOVE the pearlized paper. I think the "underwater" "sand castle" is cute, but I agree, the first one is more adult.

Just remember, if you have an odd sized invitation, then it might cost more to mail, because you might not be able to use just a normal stamp to mail it. Not saying it will for sure, but it is something to think about.

Danielle, the sideways design is so fun. I just saw yours on your thread...they are gorgeous. And they are very unique. I love that about the paper size and design. It's funny you mentioned mixing the 1st and 3rd option b/c I asked Denise, the designer, to do just that. She just sent the new samples today. I'll post a pic for you to see when they are done.

I stalk so many threads that i am not sure if I totally checked yours out all the way, but I am looking now and loving. Wish I could have found it before your wedding. LOVE your 11/11/11 story...so sweet. And gorgeous ring and just overall wonderfulness.

I just wanted to thank you girls for the love and support in regards to my mom. She is doing excellent now. She had surgery and they removed a tiny cell/lump/something-or-other. She is healing well and quickly. The doctor said it was not a big deal (I dunno about that) and that he did not see any spread to the lymph nodes. They did take samples from her lymph nodes and sent them off but the Dr. indicated that he thought everything would come back fine. She will have to have radiation but that will be quick and only 6 weeks (I believe this is what they told mom). I am happy to report this and I pray the good blessing continue.
